I think doing a feature wall in a darker color or separate material will be too much distraction and wont flow elegantly as you would like

Look @ feature wall on Left | YES! I love that however i wouldn't do a third material i might think about bringing the same tile as the shower walls but in a separate size (24"x24") straight set. :)

Our tile will read very similar to this wall tile as far as application (reads as a slab) you will notice its not perfectly lined up but close enough to allow the eye to keep moving around the room. THIS! is what im going for 100%. We would go with he largest tile size in a rectangular shape.
