DLB Kitchen
Sleek, unobtrusive
Just attracted to the color of this, I think
Like the concrete. Torn between liking how low the cabinetry is, and how much stuff is left exposed as a result...
"Modern" style. I originally thought I could get away with not having a lot on my back wall, but I am not so sure it's realistic.
Similar to the previous one: "Modern" style. I originally thought I could get away with not having a lot on my back wall, but I am not so sure it's realistic. Like how much storage is in the island, but don't think I want the cooktop in there.
I like the materials used here. But not how much is exposed. Would consider something like that dramatic wood on the outside of our island.
Am attracted to the black metal and frosted glass and "unconventional" look, but I also don't know why anyone would want everything so exposed.
I'm terrified that we'll end up w/ something like this
Thought it could be cool to incorporate display area for my Coke collection, but I find this particular kitchen too country and a little claustrophobic, despite it being Open
Can we do faux skylights? Definitely planning to talk to a lighting designer, and also do some geves work (at the very minimum for a/c, but while we're at it, happy to do lighting too)
Way over the top, but drew me in for some reason #industrial
Mostly liked the black framing on the glass, I think
I don't have this much space, but we'll probably end up w/ this type of layout...
Another view of that same layout
Unusual treatment in this area. I like the concept (tho not the style at all)
Just how the ceiling seems to define the space. But I hope ours doesn't end up feeling this cramped.
Layout/open space. Not particularly relevant.
Love the sprawling, non-rectangular-ness of this one. Out of the box :-)
Interesting how "free-standing" this one feels. I am concerned that we will end up with something like this, but I don't love it.
Stainless!
Feels inevitable
Too compact
layout option?
Another view -- the full wall of cabinets, the big island workspace, and the openness to other areas
A bit bland, but I like the displayed items, and that it's so open to the room
AWFUL in so many ways
Not even sure this is a kitchen! But I like the feel.
Ahhh -- here's the kitchen part of that last one. I like it a lot. Tho maybe it's a little dark and heavy?
Light, industrial, open
So. Boring.
Not entirely my style, but it looks like they got a lot of storage and some fun interesting touches into a relatively small area, without making it too busy or overdone.
Not my taste in terms of finishes, but I like the openness and the little area in the distance for what looks like making coffee (could be a coffee corner with a mini-fridge for drinks and milk...)
Obv needs more cabinets, but clean and varied w/o getting too busy
Layout is similar to (reminiscent of?) our space
Curious whether we could get an enormous flat-panel LED "skylight" fixture. Also, I like the look of the tall cabinets and no uppers over the countertop... tho it's probably not realistic/practical.
Looks nice enough with the rest of the room
Long, but not too narrow, combo of textures, lots of cabinets. Open to rest of space.
A little boring, and not proportional, but very much like what I envision we need to do
Love the idea of customized storage elements (still :-)
open, integrated, not *too* boring. Like the fancy finish on the outward-facing piece.
Size, shape, integration w/ rest of living area
From Lea
interesting how the lower cabinets are recessed
Ceiling element. Might be simplest way to achieve effect of separating the kitchen from the rest of the space.
Just the island, nothing else (my sketch has cabinets and then seating...)
This is almost the exact layout of our space :-) Not sure about proportions. But if I had to choose one as-is kitchen based on "things you saw on Houzz," this would be a top contender.
