Black has always been my favorite color. I would usually not use that for furniture and finishes in a house. That said, sometimes it is well done.

I like the idea of having separate cushions for the stools. It's easier to change if need be and that also gives option to play with contrast/colors. Plus I want comfortable counter stools.
