I know this is outdoor living but I think the ceiling, mantel and stone wall are perfect for a family room

generally like this family room. Probably like a bit darker wood. like the cover over the TV. Think I like a solid beam better this this split look. Not sure is I would put the fireplace on the back of the house facing the course but if large windows on either side available it might be nice.

like the mantel maybe a bit lighter would be better. do not want a place to sit on the fireplace. Would rather have the fireplace to the floor and then the TV can be lower. I do not want to be sitting on the sofa with my neck bending to see the TV.

like the general idea here. I would have the TV either concealed or above the Fireplace. I would not have the rock all the way up the wall and maybe different rock would help me.

This is a great family room set up nice windows on the side.I like this fireplace and mantel but if having the stone bench make you have to have the TV so high I would go without the bench
