Really like the subway tile with black grout and the black square tiles at an angle.

If the shower butts up against the end of the tub, even if you do tile, water etc would be bound to get between the two materials and look gross. Here, the shower door starts at the top of the partial wall. Custom = expensive. Not sure how else to do this...

Tiled shower bases seem to be really expensive, but acrylic can look cheap. Here, they have kept the floor white and it blends right in.
