Kitchen Lighting
The light coming straight down on the hands will create potentially problematic shadows, often making it difficult to see precise cuts when called for. Optimally, toward the back and tilted or pointed forward is best. That way the light has a better chance of lighting under the hands and knife. But even reflecting off the backsplash can accomplish that, though you'll lose a little intensity being reflected rather than direct light.
Rug. Skylights or Solar tubes.
