Home exterior
Are you thinking actual logs... it's a different insulation scheme... I would definitely like to have a timber element, and that may give you enough of a cabin feel, but allow you to optimize insulation
Another example of log cabin.
Chris would like to live in Montana in a log cabin. We are going to maybe have a bit of a cabin in E. Asheville.
This is the shape of the house that I have in mind. Not the style.
Would this fit on our lot? ; I see a thread in this as well as some of the other more modern pics you have collected.... finding the perfect blend of rustic mountain cabin and modern amenity will be key. certainly doable but this one in particular nods to the mountain behind it... we should look at features on your lot that we can incorporate into the lines on your home
Is this the same?
I think this is the other side.
I like this too
This is totally cool
this photo says it's man made stone called Hill Country Chalk?: I have a number of sources for veneers like this as well as natural stone
This is an add for the stone(I think). Does that mean it isn't "real"?
windows close up: Walls of glass! a great way to brighten up the dark tendencies of a cabin
House from the outside
windows from the outside
in-law suite
Okay this is probably more on our scale of size and budget
even closer
closer look
I like this architect
This is "interesting" up close
Interesting.
Oh, love love the blue barn in the distance! That can be the garage and in law suite.
This is maybe more reasonable for us. Same architect. Has my cabin and stone. I want low/no maintenance exterior. ; I like the log accent wall as opposed to a full on log cabin
Love It!
WOW
I love a stone house ; yeah this is pretty fantastic
Cute, victorian, and story book. 3 looks I like.
And here is the in-law suite cabin.
Old log cabin look with an update. I DO like this...a lot.
If money weren't a problem I like this for our lot.
I don't know if I like this or not?? But I DO want easy roof lines.
Black Windows
Main house with a walkway extension to garage and guest house.
Stone wall looks like Hill Country and Big Sky to me; and I like it.
Front door with seeded glass
