We hired Peg Berens Interior Design, upon the referral of a friend, to assist us in designing our new custom home. We were immediately impressed upon our initial meeting with Peg's incredible organization, attention to detail, sense of design, and experience. This is our first experience with new construction, and we needed an expert to beautifully design our interior according to our day to day lifestyle needs and assist us with understanding the whole process, all while being extremely responsive - Peg has not disappointed! Peg Berens Interior Design (PBID) is an extremely competent, professional and respectful Interior Design company. I employed PBID for a new custom home I'm building as I didn't feel I had the time or the energy to choose faucets, sinks and wall coverings. Not only did PBID assist with choosing fixtures, but they designed every wall, custom furniture piece, rough plumbing components, lighting, etc. to be installed in the house. They did this in an extremely impressive manner by respecting my individual tastes and providing me with few selections of each component from which to choose. Their work was extremely detailed and done very quickly. They are well-versed in the latest computer applications which lower the time required for changes. When changes did happen, they were more than willing to go the extra mile to provide detailed alternatives. Their interactions with my architects and contractors are extremely professional and helpful, which makes me feel that I couldn't have made a better choice in my Interior Designers. Ultimately, the biggest vale that I glean from PBID is my ability to get the most accurate contractor bid possible for the completion of my home. Without PBID, there is no possible way I could get to a price within 5-10% of initial bids. And should there be any question as to what a wall should look like, or what color it should be painted, or whether my pricing included a specific moulding, there will be no doubt as to who is at fault; PBID provides the contractor with a binder with every single detail of my home. In conclusion, I would highly recommend using PBID for custom homes. I couldn't imagine having to do this kind of work myself.

We have worked with Peg on several projects already and Peg is always prompt and professional. Peg does a great job of narrowing down materials and furnishings that suit our tastes and fit our budget so that the choices aren't so overwhelming. We also get to see our projects in 3D before committing to them, which is great for those of us who have trouble picturing the finished project without a little help. Peg is extremely detailed and organized, as well as being completely transparent about her costs for items purchased on our behalf, which we like very much. She provides detailed monthly invoicing that shows exactly what amount of time was spent on different aspects of our projects which is wonderful so that we aren't guessing about whether the billing seems accurate or appropriate. My husband and I do not always have the same vision for our projects and Peg has been great at helping come to a middle ground that we are both beyond happy with. Our experiences working with Peg have always been great, we wouldn't work with any other designer!

Peg is our designer on a major remodel/rebuild of our home. It was a very daunting process but Peg's attention to detail really took a tremendous load off my wife and me. Peg creates a huge binder that begins with spreadsheets of every single item in the home, including paint color/type, cabinet design/hardware, all fixtures lighting/plumbing/etc.. Too many things to list but exactly everything. Which greatly helps the contractor in getting accurate bids and makes sure everything is covered and thought about before construction even begins. She was able to figure out what we liked, when we didn't even know. Our remodel incorporates Universal Design Principles to accommodate a wheelchair, but we didn't want it to look institutional. Peg made sure our needs were met while not sacrificing on style.
