For this boys room the padded pelmet with flange cord piping in combination with the shaped fabric tiebacks with matching flange cord makes a simple and quiet statement of eloquence in contrast to the living room treatment which utilized swags & tails and was far more ornate, elaborate and outspoken. Here the solution allows for the attention to be drawn by the clean lines, shape and form. projected by the striped patterns of coordinated fabrics and the strong vertical lines of the pelmet box. The light fabric lifts the pelmet which could otherwise have appeared heavy and overbearing if covered in a darker coordinated fabric.
