Melbourne International Flower and Garden Show 2013
Out of The Ashes - a show garden created for the Landscaping Victoria Student Design competition, and winner of the Don Fleming Student Design Award. The garden design had to respond to the new CFA Landscaping for Bushfire publication. The central feature is a tree stump salvaged from the 2006 bushfires around Jamieson. Each ring moving out from it shows how the natural Australian bush regenerates following fire, each level becoming more lush and heavily planted. The mirror reflects the central stump, demonstrating teh cyclical nature of bushfires in Australia. Thanks to all my supporters, particularly PTA Landscapes who were responsible for the build.
