This older home was literally taken over by a family of five. The client was in desperate need of a kitchen update for both function and to appease her style. Her two wants were Mad-Men era and greens. We gave her a custom island with seating for five, custom cabinetry to house her large refrigerator, a well sized pantry, pull outs of every sort including garbage and recycling, and a large farmhouse sink. The peek-a-boo window that looks onto the family room was trimmed out to look cleaner and more modern. A stunning jade marble backsplash is unique and adds interest, while reflecting the ceiling to floor white Ledgestone on the opposite wall. The room is truly a marriage between old and new styles, and while it may not be set-ready for Mad-Men, the client was thrilled wit the result.
