Villa Style Powder Room
This library-inspired powder room is a delight! Wainscoting and crown molding were sized and situated to frame six shelves' height worth of books -- or in this case, book themed wall covering. A beautiful ornate gold frame mirror and flanking single sconces draw the eye to the marble-top corner vanity and its unusual gold vessel sink and wall-mount faucet.
WKD’s design brief was to infuse graceful grandeur for entertaining into this former 1907 stable and carriage house. One would imagine that the carriage house held, at least to some degree, historic and beautiful architectural details. However, this was not the case. Everything – architectural moldings, flooring, hardware, etc. - were designed and fabricated to the designer’s specifications. The home features a stunning French-style salon, elaborate adjacent dining room, a handsome paneled library, a Tuscan inspired gourmet kitchen and dining area, a wet bar, a beautifully landscaped outdoor terrace, and a stunning master bath.
