West Chester, PA: Family Room II
I created a soft, clean and crisp family room for Monica and Vin using neutrals and cool, calming hues. Monica and Vin had an existing sofa and two chairs in the room that they wanted to use. The leather sofa was dark and flat, but it came to life when I added two light seafoam green pillows. I selected fabric to reupholster two chairs using a soft grey/tan textured fabric and an updated seafoam green floral. The custom built-in that surrounds the fireplace is the showstopper in this room… and for good reason! Accessories bring the bookshelves to life. I added armchairs to each desk space, bringing the soft green color over to the other side of the room. The chairs are just enough to add some softness to the built-ins and black granite countertop. We dressed the windows with white wooden blinds, a clean and crisp look!
