Hi there! I’m Adam Scougall, the founder of Adam Scougall Design. Residential interiors are my specialty. I work with people who are excited about their homes, and want it to reflect their point of view thoughtfully. We asked Adam for a consultation session, to talk about ways to revamp our apartment in Surry Hills, after seeing him speak at an event near here. Could not have asked for better advice! He gave us ideas we could put into place immediately (which we have) just by rearranging what we had already, medium-term / moderate scale projects like painting we could do in the near future for a bit of a refresh, and more ambitious possibilities we could look at longer term. He also left us a full folder of notes after our conversation, with suggestions for colours and tones we could incorporate, and leads for where to find specific items. He's full of ideas, but really great at getting a sense of the individuals who live in the home - he's not here to impose his taste on anyone, he's here to help you refine & concentrate on the things you already like and have.

Adam's essential consultation experience was excellent. His response was prompt, he took notice and incorporated my preferences quickly, and created a lovely, cohesive design within 2 hours! I now have the design to follow, with suppliers suggested, which will kick start my project and keep me focused on the overall look.

I first met Adam when he was speaking at a seminar on home decoration, design and renovation. I immediately resonated with the information he was sharing with us. So much so, that I asked him to come to our home for a consultation. The purpose of the consultation was to help us with the choices of finishes for our upcoming kitchen renovation and also seek suggestions on what other improvements we could do to make the most of apartment. We found Adam to be refreshingly down to earth and very professional. He really listened and took on board what we were hoping to achieve. He offered constructive advice and was very encouraging. I would not hesitate to use Adam’s services again for future projects and advice.

Adam has done a fabulous job helping me and my husband I furnish and decorate the ground floor of our terrace in Newtown, which we recently gut renovated. We reached out to Adam when the end of the build was getting close and we just didn't have the time, energy or the creative skills to choose furnishings and accessories that would match our style and all fit together cohesively. We wanted someone who would work with us collaboratively and give us a range of ideas to work with rather than just totally take over the project and do it his way. Adam was great. He listened carefully to us and pulled together a beautiful design with a variety of options, all of which worked together and are both beautiful and practical. Sitting in my new home now I could not be more thrilled with the end result. Adam was also a complete pleasure to work with. He was responsive, friendly, and always willing to answer questions. I highly recommend Adam.
