For several years, as a furniture builder, I have had the greatest pleasure working for Ashli Mizell. Ashli has assembled a team of young designers that are constantly pushing the envelope in the world of design. The communication and designing skills are clear, on point, and inspirational. Ashli’s vision is always front and center. When I see the finish product, everything in place, everything having a place, there is a sense that a designer wasn’t there. It's a curious thing and yet there is a style that emerges and speaks artfully, truthfully. Her work grows organically into the space, capturing the personalities of both the owner and the structure as good design should. Everything has been touched in some way and there is always a surprise awaiting as you move through the space. She creates a living space that can take you just beyond the edge. Highly recommended!"

Ashli did an amazing job transforming my home. Ashli worked closely with me to help develop layouts, choose furniture, rugs, lamps, color schemes, etc. She was clear and straightforward in describing her design process as well as her pricing and costs. I would highly recommend her again and work with her in the future.

Ashli gutted and extended our existing kitchen as well as adding an entry way into the space that was formerly a massive pantry. Her mastery of space planning and use of angles in the room were brilliant. She solved various problems that arose when working on an old home, and she stuck to our budget. She listened intently to what my husband and I wanted and what our likes and dislikes were. Her taste level is exquisite. Years post completion the compliments keep coming and our kitchen which is unique and timeless is a joy to be in. In 2012 we hired hired her to gut my husbands bathroom. Another Mizell masterpiece!

We interviewed several designers for our Philadelphia town house. We chose Ashli Mizell Inc., and have lived happily ever after! Ashli and her team are consummate professionals. They managed every aspect of the design process from start to finish, and their approach was organized and systematic. First they met with us to get a sense of how we wanted to use our home and what we wanted our new space to look and feel like. They met with our builder and selected all of the tile, flooring and cabinetry. They understood and respected our budget. Each meeting was incredibly productive and we were presented with several interesting furniture, lighting and fabric options. Ashli's impeccable taste and art history background enhances her talent for creating eclectic design schemes that are anything but cookie cutter. Ashli is wonderful to work with! She designed several rooms in our primary home as well as our beach house, and we love everything she did! She is honest, personable and Extremely Creative! I had never used a designer before and was very concerned that my home would not reflect my personality and spirit. I could not have been happier with the results. My home is elegant yet comfortable. Classy, simple and warm. It sits on a river and the tones that Ashli chose bring the outside in. Everyone who comes into the space comments on how beautiful yet how "me" it is. I really appreciate that Ashli listened to me then presented me with a curated collection of choices that reflected my personality yet elevated my home to a beautiful living space that I could be proud of and incredibly comfortable in.

When we moved to Philadelphia, I found Ashli through a general google search as I didn't have a network of friends yet to make suggestions about a designer. I didn't need personal recommendations - the pictures of her work sold me. They were light years more sophisticated and interesting than examples of any other work in Philadelphia. I chose well. Ashli is outstanding. She is incredibly professional and easy to communicate with. She really listened to what we wanted yet encouraged us toward a few new directions too. She has really refined artistic skills regarding color, light, and proportion. The paint colors in our home are luminous. She is a meticulous perfectionist. It shows in her work. I highly recommend her.
