Briggs Steel is a Local Manufacturer of Metal Roofing, Siding & Custom Folding/Bending to your specifications. We manufacture locally in Rigby, ID and stock all accessories needed. (Formerly Briggs Built Metal) As a team of husband and wife, David and Jeanie Briggs founded Briggs Roofing Company in 1983. Being a second-generation roofer, David brought 15-years roofing experience to the Company. Jeanie brought 12-years of cost-accounting/office experience. David and Jeanie have always been actively engaged in the Company, as were some of their children—third generation roofers! Briggs Roofing Company grew throughout the years, eventually obtaining licenses to perform work in Idaho, Wyoming, Montana, Utah and New Mexico. Thanks to our biggest asset, our employees, we were able to perform work in all types of roofing, whether it be a simple home roof installation or a large technical commercial project. In the Spring of 2000 we started the process of establishing Briggs Built Metal by upgrading our hand brake and slitter that served us well for many years in our sheet metal shop to State-of-the-Art computerized sheet metal brake and advanced shear, stocking architectural sheet metal products and offering customized architectural sheet metal services to Southeastern Idaho, Southwestern Montana and Western Wyoming. The Fall of 2003 brought many changes to our Company. Plans were made to sell the roofing portion of the business to one of our sons. Extensive remodeling and an addition to our warehouse made way for the rollforming equipment necessary to fulfill our long-term dream of running a metal roofing manufacturing plant with a full-service sheet metal shop. Early Spring 2004 we celebrated the “Official” opening of Briggs Built Metal, Inc. In addition to the full-service sheet metal shop, we offer eight different profiles of metal roofs, including commercial standing seam roofs which are formed at our facility or ON YOUR JOB SITE with our PORTABLE ROLLFORMER! David and Jeanie were both born in Eastern Idaho. We love this area and its people. We look forward to serving any needs you may have when it comes to the Metal Roofing and/or Sheet Metal Market.
