The Burke Company

We contacted The Burke Company because we needed a turnkey company to reimagine the exterior of our 1960 ranch home and then turn that imagining into reality. We used to pull up to the house and kinda sigh at it. It was bland and lacked any curb appeal at all, had been festooned with huge cedar shutters and posts that made it seem literally like a ranch house. It did not work with the warm modern interior we'd put so much effort into renovating and did not bring us joy to come home to. So, tasked with this direction, Jason came up with a plan to raise and extend the porch roof, supported by cool metal beams, add highlights of warm wood siding, redesign the walkway, and remove elements that weren't working toward the modern goal, like shutters and wing walls. The casual wooden front door and side lights were also replaced by a striking modern steel door. They also painted the exterior, including painting the peach-colored brick a modern warm gray. It was exactly the effect we were hoping for and now several months later, we still can't believe it's our house when we pull up to it. They got our vision right away and executed it beautifully. Between their work and our wonderful landscaper, the total package just blows us away. I've attached before and after photos (see the Currin photos in their gallery for the rest of the afters). The difference is astounding. The company is great to work with, as well. Very communicative and eager to ensure our satisfaction. We changed our minds here and there on some things (mostly paint choices), and they were flexible and reasonable. Overall, a great experience and an even better result!

Great, professional design and remodeling. We hired the Burke Company to remodel our 3,000 square foot house, add a patio and remodel a 1000 square foot exterior structure on our property. They finished our project on time and on budget. Highly recommend.

We chose The Burke Company to do our home addition and it was the best decision we've ever made. They managed to keep us on budget, they hire professional crews, they finished ahead of schedule, and we ended up with so much more than we ever thought we would originally. Jason is a genius when it comes to logistics. He managed his crews around bad weather, scheduling conflicts etc. and made sure someone was always working on our project. Everyone was extremely respectful of our schedules and the fact that we were living in our home during the build. Again, Jason came up with a way around this that literally made us feel like we could get up and go to work and not have to worry about a thing. Most people don't believe us when we tell them how smoothly our project went. Actually, we can't believe it either! There are excellent contractors out there and The Burke Company is one of them. Do yourself a favor, save yourself a ton of time and call them first.

When I went searching for a remodeling co. for my project, I called some of the companies reviewed on Houzz, only to be told my $45k remodel was too small for them to bother with. The Burke company not only accepted my job, they did such professional, high quality work most people who have seen it think that it cost twice that. I did not experience the delays or cost overruns that I'd been told usually occur in remodels. They were very willing to work make the changes I requested and were always reachable when I had a question. They were mindful of my budget and worked with me to help keep it in check. I would not hesitate to recommend them for any type of remodeling project.
