We had a wonderful experience with Dykman Acinger Design! Cathy was so helpful and professional as she guided us through our window treatment options for our newly remodeled house! She was always attentive to our questions and took time to thoroughly and thoughtfully plan each area of our house, we needed window treatments in a majority of the rooms in our house which was a huge undertaking! So pleased with the results and highly recommend Dykman Acinger Designs!

Cathy was lovely to work with and created the perfect look for our remodeled master bedroom/bath and closets. She is creative and did an exceptional job in transforming our traditional style master bed/bath/closets to a beautiful suite, with a fresh "look of today". She is highly experienced, professional and warm, worked easily with my work schedule. She surprised me with little extras (that I would have a difficult time picking out) which helped to tie together a beautifully, finished look. Highly recommend her!!

Cathy is one of the best designers we have ever worked with! She is working with us on a three phased project for our home. All we gave her to work with was our vision and a notebook I had with pictures of rooms from magazines that I liked. From that, she came back with amazing colors for the walls, choices in fabric, rugs, tile, granite, and furniture to choose from. She brought in a wondeful contractor and worked closely with him throughout the entire first phase. With the first phase complete, we now find ourselves sitting in our “new” living area loving the warm comfortable atmosphere Cathy helped create for us. We are looking forward to the next two phases!! We know they will be just as wonderful!! Thank You, Cathy!!

We called Cathy midway through our master bath remodel and she was able to discern our tastes and approach to this project. She found the perfect paint for walls, ceilings and woodwork and helped with lighting, including the right size chandelier. She even came to ensure the electrician positioned the chandelier correctly. Cathy helped us design the drapes with great fabric. Then, Cathy listened to our powder room dilemma and found the perfect wallpaper. Her wallpaper installer and drapery workroom/installer worked well with her and our schedule. We love all the results!

Cathy transformed our dark,drab guest bedrm. in our basement into a bright and cherry room for our guests and family. Together, we chose a plaid in red, blue, and greens for drapes only hung from a dark rod on top of the windows that have blinds in them. The bedspread is a corresponding blue with matching plaid and trim on the pillow covers. An old wicker chair was spray painted and with a new fabric of design and color added to it....transformed it into a new piece of furniture. Cathy had a minimal amount of money to bring to life a boring bedroom....She did it , and our guests and we love it!!

When people first step into my house their first word is, " WOW!" Designing and building a home can be overwhelming and in my case incredibly stressful. The amount of decisions that needed to be made on a shoe string budget was almost paralyzing. When I was referred to Cathy everything changed! Cathy made decision making easy and better yet fun. I'm proud of my home now thanks to Cathy's expert eye. She just knew the perfect color pallet by talking to me and I love my tile selections. She was patient and kind and I'd love to work with her again!!

Cathy has been the only designer I have worked with since early 2000's. Several years ago she helped me with the update of our Lenexa home but most recently has guided me through 2 extensive remodel projects at our new home - one of which is ongoing. Cathy has helped me choose paint colors, rugs, furniture, draperies, granite, and something as simple as knobs and pulls. She even helped me rearrange my bookshelves to give it a designer touch. Cathy has a great sense of style both personally and professionally. She is knowledgeable of the newest latest and greatest on the market but works with me regarding my more traditional style. Cathy is dependable, has terrific work ethic, is truthful, very kind and always professional. In addition her prices are very reasonable. I could go on and on about how wonderful she is as a person and as a professional. In conclusion, I regard Cathy as a true friend and an awesome designer. I would be lost without her.
