Churchwood Design

We used Churchwood Design for our new kitchen project. Charlottes design was excellent and not only answered our requirements, but also, delivered things that we hadn't thought of to make a really successful family living space. The furniture is of the highest possible quality with beautiful cabinets and drawer boxes all finished in our own choice of colour and all at a sensible price given the quality and service. I couldn't recommend them enough to be honest!

Once again Churchwood Design have created a beautiful kitchen for me. This time it’s another fully fitted kitchen and large open display units in my new home and coffee shop. The design works perfectly. I love my kitchen and so do my staff, as it’s so easy and pleasurable to work in. Charlotte and Mark always do all that they can to ensure that I am satisfied with every element. And nothing is ever too much to ask of them. The kitchen and display units are on view to the public. Daily I receive compliments and enquires about my kitchen. Thank you again to all at Churchwood design for making cooking and baking lots more fun. And for the pleasure that we all derive from sitting in our new coffee shop kitchen.

Had a hand painted kitchen designed and installed by Churchwood Design. None of the doors fit properly, they are either too short or not square. The beading is all damaged and the mitred joints do not fit. The measurements were incorrect and the washing machine did not fit resulting in plaster being taken off the wall and the door badly adjusted. A nail was left sticking out of the dresser which could have cut someone. The wood constantly separated causing cracking in the paint. The painting was terrible. Filler was used to fill where the beading did not fit properly but it was overfilled, left and then just painted over. Attempts were made to get things put right but was told ‘That’s the nature of wood’ and ‘There will be slight imperfections with a hand made kitchen’. Churchwood Design said they were satisfied with what they had done. It was a terrible job for a very expensive kitchen which now looks awful. I would not recommend this company.

Churchwood Design are a fellow Derbyshire business. We worked with them in 2017 when they designed a bespoke open plan kitchen for a family home. We love that Charlotte picked out our Steel Blue lights as it sat perfectly with the soft blues of the cabinetry, as well as selecting yellow as it gave a lovely pop of colour and warmth to the kitchen.

I hired Churchwood Design as I wanted a sympathetic cottage kitchen that I needed to be practical and look period. From Charlotte’s initial design to James’ fitting, the whole job was carried out to beyond my high expectations and at a fair price. I would recommend this company to anybody requiring a high quality bespoke kitchen for a period property. They use the best materials and the use of old oak in my kitchen really finishes it off nicely. Very happy.

The displays in the showroom showcase their talented team and the project was carefully managed and installed by skilled craftsmen. We have worked with Churchwood Design on a number of projects and will do so again - the quality of workmanship and attention to detail is excellent, and the fitting done professionally and without fuss. We have used them for kitchens, but like their fitted wardrobes and am hoping to use them in an upcoming project.

We got our entire kitchen and wardrobes with Churchwood and it has turned out to be absolutely amazing. It looks better and is of a better quality than the high end suppliers on Wigmore street and at half the cost. Charlotte and Mark were extremely professional and flexible during the whole process of design and final delivery and installation.

Designed and installed bespoke kitchen units and work surfaces in an old country cottage. Provided an excellent service from initial ideas through to completion. The quality of the materials and workmanship was first rate. Very friendly and approachable. Used contract staff for the installation but they were very professional.
