I highly recommend Cornerstone Building and Design. Chuck and his team were all professional, knowledgeable, courteous and the quality of their work was exceptional. Chuck was a good communicator regarding who would be at the house on what days and when we could expect each piece of the project to be completed, this was much appreciated. When we had questions or concerns, Chuck was very responsive. Customer satisfaction was a high priority and as a result we are very happy with our new kitchen. We would highly recommend Cornerstone Building and would work with them again in the future.

We have used chuck multiple times throughout the years (since 2011). Chuck did not disappoint during this kitchen remodel. Project included a complete kitchen remodel, new flooring throughout most of the house, new lighting (kitchen and adjacent rooms), plumbing upgrades and electrical upgrades including new panel. He provided us a personal touch, paying attention to our needs and concerns. Chuck and his selected professionals were courteous, responsive and experts in their craft. Everyday we our loving our kitchen and living quarters more and more. Kudos to Chuck for improving our daily tasks. We would definitely use Cornerstone again!

We had a great experience working with Chuck for our bathroom remodel. Instead of just giving the space a facelift, Chuck worked with us to maximize the space by completely changing the layout so that it made more sense and gave us more room. He was very helpful and had good communication throughout the process and finished the project on time, which was very important as our baby was due just a few weeks later! We are so happy with the final result and would highly recommend working with Chuck!

Cornerstone Building and Design, Inc was hired for our large home project: we put an addition on the back of the house and made renovations including the conversion of the garage to a bedroom and bathroom. (My Mother moved in!) It was a large project and was set to start at the beginning of COVID. Chuck was really great to work with and he has a great team of people he works with -issues and decisions do come up during the project and Chuck keeps the lines of communication open and makes great suggestions. The end result is really beautiful. We are very happy with the work done and love the space. I would absoutely recommend Chuck and Cornerstone for any home improvement project in the Metrowest area. They replaced and upgraded 7 interior doors. Chuck did an excellent job communicating what time they would arrive and they worked hard to finish the job in a timely manner (2.5 days). They cleaned up very well after each day. I look forward to working with Chuck and Cornerstone for future projects.

Chuck and his team of professionals helped bring our dream room into life. With working from home we decided we needed another space in the house to spread out. Chuck immediately took our inquiry and put together a plan beyond our imaginations. His creativity and experience made the reality of this room come true and we could not be happier with the results. Chuck was an absolute delight to work with! Our renovation and addition (added new bedroom, garage, and mudroom and renovated an existing garage into an office and bathroom) was plagued with things that were out of our control - from winter weather to the COVID pandemic. Chuck was terrific about communicating and staying in touch. There was incredible attention to detail. All of his sub-contractors were wonderful as well. If we have another project, we will definitely be calling Chuck!

We have worked with Cornerstone for over 20 years. We keep coming back because we know that the work will be of the highest quality and we appreciate how easy it is to work with Chuck. He is a super nice guy, trustworthy, talented and true to his word. Our biggest project involved creating an addition of a family room/eating area off the kitchen .... complete with a cathedral ceiling and a full basement below. We absolutely LIVE in that space and continue to get rave reviews from anyone who visits. Chuck has also doubled our outdoor deck space and spruced up our kitchen ... adding new countertops and an amazing backsplash. We also had him transform two closets in our Master into a small bathroom. Most recently, we had Chuck do a face-lift of the outside of our home ... giving our standard colonial a mission-style look complete with an amazing quarter sawn oak front door and portico. We would hire him again in a heartbeat!

We reviewed many contractors for our Master Bed & Bath addition. Chuck at Cornerstone came with the most thoughtful and accurate proposal. He also had resources to help with the design layout. During the project, he flawlessly scheduled his teams to complete the project on time. He had many ideas on resources for products like flooring, tile, cabinets and appliances. He was easy to approach and talk with on any questions. We saw him all the time during the project, he always came to review quality & safety. With our small children, we can't thank him enough for paying attention to those details. We recommend Cornerstone, you'll get a high quality project done.

We’ve had experience with many contractors – all pale in comparison to Chuck -- he’s the real deal! He’s an extraordinary professional – from his business attire (yes appearance makes an initial impression) to friendly and courteous demeanor, to detailed proposals, to open communication style and most importantly, quality workmanship. Chuck provided us with pages of references, and we called a half dozen. All were superlative. All said the same thing – what you see is what you get – detailed plans, transparent pricing, competent carpenters and subcontractors and superlative customer service. No surprises! Like any renovation, ours was not without unanticipated difficulties. We had an initial design issue that Chuck promptly resolved. Delays were only attributable to Kohler fixture availability and Chuck kept us continually updated. He was also flexible in working around our work-from-home schedules. If you’re like us and leery of selecting a contractor – do what we did and call several of his many references – it’s kind of surreal in this day and age to hear the same positive feedback call after call. We went from a rudimentary second bathroom to a showpiece that now casts the master bath in a dim light -- we may be calling Chuck back in the near future!

It's hard to find a trustworthy person these days, never mind a contractor. You can trust Chuck and his company. He communicates very effectively and most importantly, reliably. It starts with your idea and he'll draw out a proposal with an initial charge for design if you accept. As usual, you have your wishes and it will change due to budget and reality as the project moves along. Chuck is very accommodating and will work with your suggestions without a strong hand. Our 85% master bath remodel involved replacing the toilet with a lovely single piece Toto, gutting the floors and the master shower, and replacement of the jacuzzi deck, apron and all floor tiles with large beautiful Italian tiles. The central piece was the semi-frameless glass shower with a barn-style slider and a linear drain. All our faucets and hardware were replaced with stylish Grohe and Hansgrohe products. It didn't always go as planned or as fast as we would like as it took a few more weeks. But Chuck emailed, called, or texted and people showed up when they were supposed to or when there was a schedule change. It's not cheap (low 40's), but the final product was spectacular. The most important question for a former customer is would you hire him again. The answer is a resounding yes!

Every step of this process was not difficult at all. From our first meeting with Cornerstone we felt as though our needs and vision were put first. We gave them a goal, adjusted our investment, and still reached, even exceeded, our expectations! They are prompt, respectful, left the site spotless, precise and attentive. Attention to detail was always a priority. We feel as though they gave us a whole new house with an entirely new kitchen, dining room, home office, family room addition, deck and all new interior doors. Without a doubt, Cornerstone is our go-to for future projects!

We started with a small cape style home and after 4 kids we asked Conerstone to add a family room, two-car garage and bonus room above. Looks like it was always part of the house and we were thrilled with the workmanship and quality! 25 years later my 94 year old Mom wanted to live with us, so once again we looked to Chuck and his crew to design and build an accessible suite for her needs. Chuck made sure my mom was included on every decision which brought her such joy!! Cornerstone is highly professional and goes for quality when they build! Once again, the addition fits beautifully with the rest of our home. We have gotten so many compliments! So very happy with the results!

I have worked with Chuck and his crew at Cornerstone Building & Design, Inc. on many renovations in my home including my master bedroom & bathroom, powder room, living room with built in bar, as well as new projects such as a screen porch off the deck and the design and install of a wine cellar. Project costs might be on the higher end of some other construction companies, but you get what you pay for- excellent quality and design!!

We hired Chuck’s company to repair molding in our screened in sun porch. We were so thrilled with him and his crew we asked him to return and completely replace the railings on one of our decks. Fabulous job! Chuck is friendly, extremely professional and most of all LISTENS! He has become our “go to” person. Highly recommend!

Chuck is attentive, to the customer and to the quality of his workmanship. We enjoyed working with him. No surprises, on schedule, and helpful with last-minute modifications to suit our desires. I could not have asked more of his sub-contractors (Chuck's scheduling of them was expert). Excellent people. Project was a 500 + sq.ft. remodel (relocation) of kitchen and sunroom with structural changes to walls and roof.

Chuck and his did a great job on our kitchen remodel. We have VERY pleased with the outcome. We went from original 60s ranch kitchen to an updated transitional and functional kitchen. Our scope was to gut the kitchen and remodel it while removing a wall and integrating the living room and dining room into an open space design. Chuck was very organized throughout the entire process so he made it easy to work with. Communication was easy and understandable so there were no surprises. We had very few unexpected issues since Chuck did a thorough job scoping our project and his knowledge of the area and experience was a huge help. I liked that he could reference local projects his team had worked. We also knew of his work through family who used his company for other work in the past. All of the professionals Chuck used were great to work with. Everyone seemed to be attentive to our needs and wanted to make sure we were happy with the results. Dan our carpenter on this project was awesome. He was great to work with. I felt like he wanted to give it his best each day as if it was his home he was working on but all the professionals we had in our home were great as well. Chuck and his team met the original time frame and budget we agreed to. We did have some extras that made sense for us while our project was in process but they were minor and just made total sense overall. We have been pleased with the outcome and would highly recommend Chuck and his team to anyone in need of a professional.

The work progressed efficiently on my upgrades to my kitchen. Also the decisions were balanced with my input. I am very pleased with the finished project.

We came to Chuck as first time home buyers (with brand new twin babies) looking to convert at three-season porch into a year-round room that would be fully connected to our living space. Upon first meeting Chuck and throughout the design-build process, we appreciated his respect for our ideas, flexibility with our relatively limited budget, and sensitivity to our schedules and limitations with small kids lurking around a construction site. Chuck was extremely responsive to our questions, always available for advice, committed to doing things right (even if that meant extra time or re-working a design detail), and we had the greatest confidence and trust in both his expertise and his commitment to our satisfaction with the end product. Chuck's team and subcontractors were reliable, clean, attentive to the details and extremely respectful of the impact they had on our daily lives for the duration of the job. This new space has transformed the way we live in our home and we couldn't be more grateful. We've since brought him back for some smaller jobs and will call on him in the future.

I have used Chuck and his Cornerstone team for several different house renovation projects, and each one has been an excellent experience. The design process always created something attractive and functional, and the craftsmanship of the final work was always superb. Next time I need work done, I will definitely go to Cornerstone.

I used Chuck and his team at Cornerstone to completely gut and redesign a bathroom, to replace all the windows in my house and to replace the garage door, and to paint the exterior of my house. I was 100% pleased with Chuck's work. He was onsite sometimes several times a day, he always listened and adapted as necessary, and he always set realistic and accurate expectations. I was never once disappointed. The project finished on time, and if it went over budget, it was because of my add-ons. In fact, any time I requested anything new, Chuck made sure to tell me how it would affect the budget. There were no unpleasant surprises. Pleasant surprises included the team's willingness to go above and beyond, doing things like lifting heavy and project-unrelated objects into the dumpster for me. I also have three pets, and Chuck assured me--accurately--that he would ensure that my cat would never escape or get into a room into which he's not allowed. I trusted Chuck and the team implicitly. Of all my friends and acquaintances, I'm the only one who can say that I was thrilled with my designer/contractor. If you're planning a renovation, I'd strongly recommend that you call Cornerstone.

We worked with Chuck Hall of Cornerstone Building to design a more open layout for our first floor, update our kitchen, and add a half bathroom. From demolition to completion took a little less than 10 weeks. A family friend recommended Cornerstone Building to us, and we are so happy she did! Chuck is a dream of a contractor. He is warm and wonderful to talk through ideas with, and he is reliable and very responsive to emails and phone calls. He is always honest and upfront about costs or benefits of different choices. Most importantly to us, Chuck was supportive of our priorities with regard to time and budget constraints and design preferences. He was patient with us when we took longer to research choices, and he took charge of sourcing materials and managing subcontractors in a way that made things very easy on us. We also felt very lucky to have Dan, the carpenter, working on this project. Dan is easy to be around, respectful, knowledgeable, efficient, and a true craftsman. We absolutely love the final outcome of our renovations, and the more time we spend with it, the more we appreciate the quality of the construction and finishing. Chuck was committed to fully completing the project without leaving any loose ends, and he has repeatedly encouraged us to get in touch if we run into any problems as we use the new space, but we haven't found any problems yet! Cornerstone Building helped us turn our house into a functioning home that we are truly proud of, and we would definitely hire them again for any future renovations.

Chuck Hall and Cornerstone helped in the design of our complicated garage project and did a wonderful job in its construction, and then replaced a large number of windows in the house. We couldn't have been more pleased with the fairness of the price, the cleanliness maintained daily, and all the helpful suggestions that accompanied the projects. There were absolutely no issues at any time. We continue to recommend them highly to our friends.

I can't recommend Chuck Hall and his crew at Cornerstone highly enough! They helped us design a fairly large addition onto our 3 bedroom cape. With our ideas, and Chuck's building knowledge, we were able to create a seamless, creative addition and renovation to our home which interfaces perfectly with the rest of the house. Construction proceeded on time without any delays, and the crew worked everyday for 6 months. No time was taken off to attend to other jobs. They made us feel like our project was their number one priority. Chuck managed all the subcontractors and was very responsive to our issues during the entire project. Big job or small - Cornerstone Building and Design would be my first choice the next time around!

Cornerstone rebuilt the kitchen in our Cape, including removal of a wall to open it up to the living room. The design and craftsmanship were outstanding, and the team was great to work with. We had a strong idea about what we were looking for, and Chuck worked with us to realize our vision. The project included demolition of the kitchen and removal of a wall, installation of a steel beam that could be buried in the ceiling (very important to our goal of unifying the living spaces), re-routing of HVAC from the removed wall, significant plumbing and electrical work for the new fixtures, laying and finishing wood flooring, replacing windows and an external door, and all finish work. All of the work performed by Cornerstone and their subs was top-notch, and they were flexible to a few change requests that came up during the project (including adding an additional sink, and replacing the aforementioned door). This was the second project we've used Cornerstone for. They also did an incredible job finishing our basement in 2005, including installation of a full bath and kitchenette. In that project, Chuck did a great job of designing a large and useful space within the constraints of existing obstacles (i.e., placement of the stairway and support columns, low ceilings, overhead plumbing). In addition to the quality, I've really valued Chuck's creative solutions to challenges that have arisen during the project - preserving the original intent of the project, while working around typical challenges that arise, without blowing the budget.

They do excellent design and construction work. Have used Chuck Hall for several jobs. On time and on budget. Pricier than others but worth it
