Granite & Marble Designs, LLC is a stone fabrication and installation company that prides itself on its service and quality. Owned by Michael Clifton, who has been in the stone fabrication and installation industry in the Denver metro area for over 20 years. GMDesigns was recommended to us by CJ of Mtn. Kitchens and Cabinetry in Summit County. We did interview several other stone businesses and decided to stay with GMD. Mike was very patient in explaining the process and what decisions we needed to make as this was our first ever foray into stonework. Dalton spent a whole day with us for measurements as well as listening to our design ideas for the island countertop and making sure we were happy with the final concept. We totally loved participating in laying out the pattern onto the unique stone we'd selected. A good company; great people.

From smaller project just installing a couple tops, to the book matched onyx wall at the Grand Hyatt down town Denver. They have always done an outstanding job and Mike has been nothing but professional and easy to work with. Exceptional service. Mike was able to find three gorges Cristallo slabs from Brazil and I bought all three. We did a back light on the island and the stone glows ....it is incredible. I was very impressed with the professionalism of everyone that worked on the project and with the final product. I would recommend Mike and granite marble designs always and will also use them for every project.

I had countertops installed as part of a kitchen, laundry room and master bath remodel. After shopping around, I chose Granite and Marble Designs for the fabrication of the stone I chose. They did fantastic work and completed the work extremely quick. They were even able to move the completion and install forward to accommodate for holidays. This allowed for our kitchen to be usable again in time for Thanksgiving! They also stand behind their work. We had an issue with uneven application of sealant on the laundry room counter. They went out of their way to resolve the issue. They did not push back or try to get out of it. They jumped right in and did what was necessary to fix the issue...very quickly and with very little inconvenience. I would highly recommend Granite and Marble Designs for any stone work and I would not hesitate to use them again for any project I have in the future.

At our initial consultation with Mike to get new countertops at our mountain condo in Dillon, CO, we knew GMD was the company we wanted to work with. The entire staff is professional, friendly, responsive and accomodating. From fthrough fthat first appointment through final installation including a last minute design change, GMD was great with punctual communication and creative ideas to keep costs within our budget and on schedule. Our outdated 70's kitchen has been transformed into a beautiful, modern, functional area. Zero pressure to purchase from GMD! Mike was great about giving us an honest bid and educating us about what types of questions to ask other granite shops. We chose GMD after shopping around bc we felt they stood behind their work. Mike even helped us out with a faucet we were struggling to get installed. He even called a friend who lived near by to swing by and help us. Our counters look amazing and the best part is the island is seamless! Awesome service from measuring guy, fabrication to installers! Highly recommended!

I got the chance to tour their stockyard, worked with them to pick out a sink and faucet, and had them complete the stone edges to my liking. They worked around my schedule, were willing to come when I wasn't home, and completed the job so timely. The island turned out great! I would use them 100% again.

This was the worst experience I have ever had. There was a fabrication error due to poor communication with our sales representative, Jackie. When we called to tell her about the error she refused to take responsibility and blamed it on our incorrect terminology. I am not in the business and I said what I wanted in many different way and she said she understood. After talking with one of the owners, Jack, he said he would take care of the error if he saw the word “corner," we showed him the email where the word corner appeared and he said he would call us back. He never did. We tried contacting them via email and several different phone numbers for over two weeks, and no one would respond. We even tried to go in, but Jack was continuously sick or unavailable. Throughout the whole experience Jackie was terrible at responding, and by no means offered good customer service. In the end my kitchen wasn't finished, and we are having to go elsewhere. Eventually we found out that Jack didn't care to resolve the issue and wrote it off. On their home page they praise themselves saying, "GMD is dedicated to providing the highest level of customer service in addition to a superior product, our associates take pride in their work and customize each project to suit your lifestyle and ideas"; however in my experience there was no customer service and no superior product. I do not know how Jack and his company can say they take pride in their work, given my experience. I would warn anyone from using this company.

This customer refused to take responsibility for their mistake. When we were out to template the homeowner wasn't even there to communicate with and approve the template and design of their bar top. Her father was there and informed us of what she wanted. Once we got into fabricating the top we had a question about the details of her top. When we asked her the question about her countertop via email she thought we were referring to the corners of her countertop not the edge and she never questioned what my employee was referring to so we assumed she knew what we were talking about when we got an answer. So we proceeded to fabricate and install the bar top and other tops. The customer wanted us to replace the top because she didn't like the way it turned out even though we gave here what she asked for. We offered to split the cost with her father, but he refused and he refused to pay the balance of the work we completed. The bottom line is we can't read peoples minds and if a person doesn't know the difference between an edge versus a corner how can we be held responsible.

We had Granite & Marble Designs fabricate and install the new granite for our kitchen in early 2014. They were extremely professional, their prices were competitive, and the workmanship was top-notch. They utilized the design and flow of the granite expertly on our bar table and other kitchen countertops, the backsplash behind the cooktop, and the desk in the nook. The fabricators used the granite so efficiently that we had enough left to place granite on a large kitchen window-sill and a large sideboard in our dining room. We also appreciated how they involved us in the process before the granite was cut. Our kitchen is beautiful, and I would highly recommend them to anyone who is re-modeling their kitchen or bathroom.

I hired this company to do all the granite in our hotel suites. The job consisted of doing over 70 suites. They had to come in and complete each suite in one day. The suite had to be rentable after they left. They did an amazing job, and cleaned up everything. After completing that job, we hired them to do all of out granite and stone work in the hotel. They still do all of our stone work, and have kept up the same great service.

We hired Granite and Marble Designs during our basement build out. They did all of our tile and slab granite counter tops along with three fireplaces, one of them in stacked stone. They did an amazing job! Michael was very easy to work with and gave us some fantastic and unique ideas. Our project was completed in a timely manner and every detail was done beautifully. GMD installed new granite counter top, granite sink and cook top in my kitchen. My old counter tops were also granite, installed aproximately 15-18 years ago. They were of an inferior granite soft and absorbed grease and stains easily and did not have the better sealant that the current granite slabs have now. When the counter top was being installed, they realized that the cupboards were not installed properly and needed to be leveled inorder for the final result to be perfect. Cupboards were adjusted and leveled and the end results were superior. I also had GMD gut my bathroomand expand it out into a hallway. Mike counseled me into eliminating the tub which I rarely used. I now have a double sink vanity, large double shower and a niche for the commode with bathroom pocketdoor. The bathroom is handicapped accesible,as I am a senior citizen. The crew were professional and did an outstanding job. Left job site clean. Mike takes care of his customers, he has high standards, great ideas and wants everything done to the highest quality. I have referred a number of other customers to GND and will continue to refer interested peolpe to them. Thank you GMD!! Jo Ann F.

Mike has installed granite in 2 of my homes and he did a wonderful job in both cases. Mike has also helped me remodel a bathroom where we swapped the shower and the water closet and installed marble floor to ceiling, suspended granite bench, granite shelves, a design feature, vertical spa, and all of the plumbing and electrical that goes with it. It has been the best modification I have ever been a part of.

Excellent work and service at reasonable prices. Granite and Marble Designs has done several projects for us over several years ranging from very complicated and difficult installs to simple desk tops and has performed very well. Plus, they're nice guys and a pleasure to work with; they care.

A commenté : what type of counter top is displayed?Technically it's a dolomite which is closer to a marble. Not as soft as a typical marble, however similar properties. Meaning that it is possible to etch it from food acids. I would recommend getting ...
