Lauren was very professional, creative, timely, and spot on with her ideas concerning our small home that we wish to build. She saw opportunities to create a better traffic flow, to create more storage areas, and to make sure the home fit perfectly on the lot in regards to windows, doors, and room layouts on this lakefront lot. I would highly recommend her to anyone looking for innovative ideas for their project.

Lauren helped us with a home renovation. She was great at understanding our style and translating it into a palette in our home that works. She was flexible, as we needed her expertise in tying choices together and connecting us with quality materials and vendors. As we continue to update the house through small projects -- I know i'll connect with Lauren again.

Prior to many of the big decisions that had to be made, Lauren would come over and help guide me with ideas and concepts to consider based on my style and vision. A few times Lauren would suggest an idea that was out of my comfort zone. Then I would think about it and begin to visualize it - and used every single one of her ideas! I am so grateful that she opened my eyes to textures and colors that I had not considered. I loved having someone with her expertise and design talent that I could call to help me at different stages of the project. Our kitchen is amazing and it is absolutely thanks to Lauren. Plus she is a wonderful person to work with, very caring and patient. I look forward to working with her again on another project!

I worked with Lauren starting from ground zero for furniture on a new, much larger house of a different style. She was incredibly accessible, flexible, a great communicator, and respected the fact that budget was a serious consideration. I worked with her on a living room, family room, and dining room and she recommended pieces and placement that I would never have chosen myself, and that look better than I ever expected. I get compliments on my design sense whenever anyone comes over, and just tell them that it was certainly not my doing, but Lauren's brilliance! She also listened carefully to my needs - I enjoy entertaining large crowds of graduate students and colleagues and the seating and other arrangements she proposed really work well for everyone from my most esteemed senior colleagues to toddlers. I am now working with her again on a new guest room and to update the lighting in my kitchen and dining room. She is timely, considerate, and has an incredible knack for what will work with the client and the space. I am so excited to see what she comes up with next, and to keep working with her on this big old house.

For years my husband and I have dreamed of remodeling our kitchen. We moved into our brand new house in June of 1992. After 3 kids and 3 dogs it was time to update and make the space more useful for us. We had a general idea of what we wanted. We needed someone to help us with the design. I found Lauren King on Houzz and emailed her. From the first time we met she has always been professional and patient. She listened to what we needed and created a plan. It was so helpful to see what our ideas would look like. She was also a great source for knowing where to go shop and who to contact to do the construction. When we contacted her with vendor issues, she replied very quickly and was at our house to make sure the situations were taken care of to our satisfaction. It was a pleasure getting to know Lauren, and working with her.

Lauren has been wonderful to work with. We hired her during a large renovation project and she worked with us patiently and professionally on all the elements we needed. She chose paint colors that wow everyone who walks into the house and is patiently guiding us through selecting the furniture and accessories as our budget allows. You don't have to buy things from "her" vendors and she has impeccable taste. I highly recommend, Lauren! She is worth every penny.

Lauren is so helpful and patient. We had only had one experience with a decorator in the past. Lauren listens to our needs and has helped us complete our bedroom, transform our living room and is currently working on 3 additional rooms. I love her selections and her vision in each room. I worked with Lauren on a kitchen remodeling project for my home and am very satisfied with the results. When we first met, Lauren came to home to survey the space; she asked many thoughtful questions about what I didn't like about my current kitchen and what I was hoping to achieve from the remodel. She was respectful of my budget and the need to space the projects out a bit. She helped me narrow down materials for a new counter top and backsplash, and provided guidance for a new sink and faucet. When I was a bit indecisive, Lauren offered helpful advice in such a way that I felt I was getting a professional's opinion but without feeling pressured. She was also a great resource for suppliers and installers. I found her to be personable, prompt, and knowledgeable.
