Mary has fabulous taste and did a great job working with my teen- age daughter Kathryn. She listened carefully to Kathryn's specifications and produced a bedroom for her that is beautiful and timeless. Our first time to work with a professional was a positive experience. We engaged Mary Rooney Interior Dimensions to update our newly purchased historic home built in 1925. Initially, Mary worked with us to establish a color scheme. This decision helped tie together the final results. As work progressed, Mary listened to our ideas and presented fitting choices. Mary is very knowledgeable about the many dimensions of design from countertops to furniture construction and style. She also is well informed about current products and vendors, simplifying the process. We are grateful to have had Mary’s expertise and vision and highly recommend her to others.

Mary helped us redesign a master bathroom that was original to the house. We wanted to modernize the look, while retaining functionality and staying within the existing footprint. From beginning to end, she was very organized, which we consider to be one of her strengths. During the design phase, Mary did an excellent job of listening to our ideas and trying to work with them, as opposed to telling us what we should want. If we were unsure or didn't have a clear vision (which sometimes was the case), she was creative and helpful without becoming overbearing. After we settled on the design, Mary stayed on top of the project, interfacing as needed with the general contractor as well as his subs. When decision points arose along the way (which inevitably occurs), she was quick to convene a meeting so that time and money were not wasted. In short, Mary was an essential part of our renovation project and we are quite sure that we would not have achieved such an outstanding result without her involvement.

Mary was hired to help me re-design my bathroom. Nothing was actually changed in placement, but designed to fit my needs and to bring more beauty into the space. She took my own ideas and helped me see how we could better them to meet my needs. She drew the plans for the re-designed counter area so that the cabinet maker could work with specifics. Knowing my taste, she presented me with details like glass, tile, light fixtures that could add more character to the space. When there was a glitch, she figured a way out of it. The results were wonderful.

Working with Mary was a delight. She helped me refine my thoughts into creating a room I never would have believed could be so perfect. She made suggestions but made sure the final decisions were mine. I have complete trust in her judgment and abilities and will use her on future projects.
