Sarah designed my living room and she did an excellent job. She really got my style, listened to what I was looking for, and incorporated some of my pieces into the design as well. Sarah was a pleasure to work with, giving me plenty of choices but also helping me to make decisions quickly. My living room turned out perfectly and I really love it!

This is my second time working with Sarah Herman’s and I absolutely love her , Sarah is so easy to work with , I told her what I was looking for and she did not disappoint, I love neutral colors everywhere in my home and she knew exactly what to show me .Sarah transformed my dining room last year from drapes which are stunning to wall color and a rug , I already had a dining table , she also helped me with dining chairs and they are perfect with the table This year Sarah helped me with my living room and again she did not disappoint, when people come into my home they are in awe of theses rooms , she helped me from scratch with my living room , I have the most beautiful window treatments and beautiful pillows a rug , everything looks amazing Next year I will be updating my bedroom and I will not work with anyone but Sarah , we absolutely love everything she has done for us

We are so grateful to have found Sarah here on Houzz! We moved into a historic home two years ago and needed help with personalizing the living room and the dining room and consolidating our own style with the historic nature of the house. Many designers we interviewed insisted on blank slate rooms with no existing pieces, or gut-to-studs level renovations -- neither of which was practical for us. Sarah was able to take stock of our personal preferences and formulate a vision that elevated the heirloom pieces we already had and expanded what we thought was possible style-wise with fabulous new pieces and finishing touches. She was patient with our decision process and thoughtful of our budget at every turn. One notable example of Sarah's flexibility and adaptability involved a pastoral wallpaper that we wanted for our dining room. When she contacted the artist and priced the custom paper far outside our budget, she did not give up. Instead, she found a local muralist and gave us the exact effect we wanted at a fraction of the cost! We are really looking forward to working with Sarah on all of our future projects.

Sarah was great to work with for the design of our new dining room. She met with us several times to think about style, selections and budget. Once we had a plan Sarah recommended all of the pieces from dining room table, chairs, furniture, window treatments, lighting, wallpaper and paint color. The wallpaper and window treatments were particularly key as they were unique, elegant and fun. Sarah coordinated the delivery and installment of everything and ensured everything was done perfectly. For the second time, we had the pleasure of working with Sarah Hermans. This was a larger project (a fully renovated home), and she far exceeded our expectations. Having previously worked together, we knew Sarah had a keen eye for design and a great understanding of color theory. Sarah did an outstanding job tying the colors together throughout our house, incorporating simple, but elegant rooms design. Sarah helped us choose paint, furniture, artwork for each room and expertly coordinated them to create a cohesive and beautiful overall look. In addition to her decorating skills, Sarah excelled in her collaboration with our builder. Throughout the project, she effectively communicated with the builder to ensure that the design elements were properly incorporated into the construction. We were particularly impressed with how Sarah was able to find creative solutions to any issues that arose, resulting in a beautiful and functional final product. Sarah was amazing. I knew I needed help redecorating our family room and was so happy to have found Sarah. We set an appointment for her to come back with paint colors, fabric swatches and pictures of furnishings based on what we had discussed. Together we went through them, discussed all the options and with her guidance I made my choices. She placed the orders that afternoon. When everything arrived at her warehouse, she called to set an appointment for the install. She came and placed everything perfectly from rugs to pillows. She left us with rooms we love.. Sarah is efficient, accessible and a great communicator. She will be my go-to for any future projects down the road.

Sarah did a beautiful job helping me pull together the first floor of my home. She helped me incorporate new pieces with my existing pieces and everything came together perfect and exactly how I imagined it. She made it easy by bringing samples to my home in the colors we discussed so I could see stuff in my space. I would recommend her for any project large or small.

We have been working with Sarah on various projects for the past 8 years. When we first moved to the area, she helped us make our first house a home. Then, we moved 2 years ago to a house closer to our son's school and we needed a lot of help. The house was very dark and out dated. She helped us to update our new home and brighten things up. She even helped us incorporate furniture and accessories we already owned. Over the years, Sarah has helped us with furniture, accessories, paint, wall paper, window treatments and more. She also has a great network of contractors to help with anything that is outside of her wheelhouse. Sarah is intelligent, thoughtful, and a delight to work. Sarah did an amazing job updating my living room and remodeling my powder room, so then I decided to have her update my dining room as well. My family and I are thrilled with the finished project we worked on with Sarah Hermans Interiors! We moved into a new construction home 6 years ago and the two front rooms, a dining room and a sitting room, challenged us with regards to function and style. Both rooms were open into each other and one included ill-fitting furniture from our prior home, and the second, an empty 'formal dining room' which we were not interested in. Sarah helped us turn both spaces into very different yet coordinating spaces - both welcoming, casual, and functional that our family - which includes 4 boys - love to use daily for reading, homework, games, and simply enjoying time together. Sarah is friendly and professional; I felt comfortable having her in our home and appreciated her eye for color and texture. She took the time to get a feel for our style and needs, she was willing to work with many items we already had in place, and within our budget. Communication during the entire process was excellent, and the project was completed within the time frame proposed. Sarah is detailed, and meticulous - down to the last bit of trim on a pillow to set it off, and offered up several beautiful and unique suggestions (that light!). We are enjoying the new spaces in our home and would work with her again if the opportunity arrises.

We had a very, very short timeline to completely renovate a commercial space into a modern open space office with multiple offices. Sarah came to the rescue and helped us find not only an amazing contractor but led us step-by-step through the process of selecting flooring, paint colors, furniture, and other elements. Sarah recently designed our Family Room and had the tall order of designing around an already purchased sectional and interesting shaped room. Sarah’s sense of color and design was excellent and she was able to come up with a design that was both stylish and comfortable. In addition to that she was extremely responsive,easy to work with and was really willing to work within a budget and even offered advice on how we could save money during the project. Lastly, this was our first time ever using a designer, which for new homebuyers can seem intimidating and out if reach, but working with Sarah made this process less stressful and even fun! Can’t recomend highly enough.

Sarah helped me immensely with a kitchen renovation, along with a major update in the family room and laundry room. She started out by listening and going through my large and ever-changing ideabook. She was able to guide me through decisions that were overwhelming and difficult for me with patience, professionalism and humor. She was the person whose judgement I trusted through the MANY decisions that impact the final style and feel of the rooms. Sarah was my rock in choosing paint colors, door pulls, countertops, hood style, backsplash tile, flooring and light fixtures. In fact, I would never have even known about the Taj Mahal quartzite countertops that I LOVE without her. Everyone was steering me to man made quartz, which didn't have the warmth or softness of color that I needed to integrate the kitchen with the rest of the house. As much as I had researched and prepared for this remodel (and I had a great kitchen company) I really depended on Sarah to be there for the decisions that came fast and furious and to pull the whole look together. Because we were able to trust Sarah's eye and experience to interpret what we wanted, we got the warm, updated, transitional kitchen we wanted. My husband and I are really thrilled with the final product. Sarah made the process smooth and actually fun! I strongly recommend using Sarah for guidance, small projects or large remodels. She can do it all!

We worked with Sarah to furnish our new house. She was great to work with, had a great eye for design and materials, and how to make rooms flow well together. After items were ordered she kept us apprised of any changes to the anticipated timeline and was wonderful when unexpected hiccups happened. We are absolutely delighted with Sarah Herman Interior's work. We moved into a considerably larger home and had Sarah decorate the entire main floor (kitchen, dining room, living room, family room, home office) as well as the master bedroom, including paint colors, providing furniture, rugs, paintings, decorations, etc. This included coordinating shipments and necessary contractors. When I decided to hire someone to help me furnish and decorate my main living room, I spent a lot of time looking for an interior decorator. The first time Sarah came to my house, we talked about the floor plan and my stylistic tastes, and we chose a color scheme. For example, I told her we wanted a space that was child-friendly, and she made suggestions that have enabled our rooms to be both attractive and functional. We get compliments from everyone who visits our house, but most importantly Sarah created rooms for us that are inviting and cheerful which bring me happiness on a daily basis.

I worked with Sarah on several small projects for my new home. 1)Living room 2)Entry way 3)Powder room 4)Porch. I originally contacted Sarah based on the portfolio examples I found on Houzz. I selected her based on the fact that her portfolio demonstrated that she could design lovely spaces across a number of different design tastes. I'm not sure how to describe my taste, as I like spaces with a modern/contemporary feel but I also love mid-century-modern and rustic antiques. I knew I needed to work with someone who could understand my style and also work with some of my existing pieces that I was not wanting to replace. Sarah came to my house and we spent about 2 hours discussing the projects and my taste. I showed her 2 design books that I own that I like as examples of my taste. I felt she had a good understanding of my style and my budget at the end of the conversation. I let her borrow a book to also help with her selections. When we met to review the selection options, I was very happy with the options I was presented. It was very clear that she "got" me. I also really liked the fact that she had options in different price ranges so I could decide on what to splurge on and on what to spend more modestly. My purchases included: Living Room: wool area rug, 2 table lamps, fabric/labor to recover cushions on an existing accent chair, 1 new custom accent chair, 5 custom accent pillows, curtain hardware Entry: chandelier, entry rug, silk accent plant Patio: 2 chairs, 2 tables, 2 artificial outdoor accent plants, 2 custom pillows Powder room: wallpaper, ceiling light To date, I have completed all the projects except the powder room since I have to replace all the fixtures first before I add the wallpaper and lighting. I am thrilled with the spaces so far. They are modern, eclectic, and cozy. I am pleased with the quality of the items that I purchased through Sarah (and I'm very picky). Sarah provided excellent service around delivering, preparing and installing the items in the spaces. One of the outdoor chairs apparently was damaged and Sarah didn't bother me with hassle of having to return it. She promptly ordered a new one, didn't bring the damaged one to me, and then returned later with the new perfect chair...very easy for me! I am very happy to have met Sarah and will work with her on my future decorating needs.

Sarah has helped our family design the perfect grown up space for our living room, while keeping in mind our family's needs, tastes, and the room's purpose. Even though we have a full-scale plan, Sarah has been accommodating in helping us furnish our space a bit at a time and has never pressured us to spend more than our planned budget. She helped us sort through several design options - from floor covering and large-scale furniture, down to various accent pieces and ideas. She took into account my husband's and my tastes, preferences, and sometimes our indecisiveness, and was able to come up a design that is sophisticated, yet warm, comfortable, and inviting. We really enjoyed working with Sarah. She came to the table with her own ideas, but was respectful of our ideas. We were all over the place with our thoughts, but she helped us focus on the areas we were most interested in. She got the ball rolling with some mock ups that got us thinking and visioning.
