Sequoia was phenomenal at every step of the way and I can't recommend them enough. Dennis IMMEDIATELY stood out from the other contractors I had talked to. So much so that I hired him immediately after the estimate because of how impressed I was with him. He went above and beyond by: * Walking me through exactly what they would do and easing my concerns about potential road bumps. * Being cognizant of my budget and using some creative problem solving to help me stay on budget. * Offering and helping with HOA documents to get approval of the flooring. * Guiding me on picking out a floor and being extremely patient with my indecisiveness. * Having A+++ communication and being super responsive to calls/texts. * Being able to accommodate some unforeseen schedule changes during remodeling. * Standing by his work and making a couple adjustments after the install to make sure it was perfect. Juan actually installed the flooring and he was also amazing. He showed up right on time, worked a VERY long day, and ended up finishing 500+ sqft of new flooring and baseboards in ONE DAY. This was particularly impressive because it required extensive sanding of tile to ensure that the boards laid flat. It also allowed my remodel to proceed on schedule which was really important to me. It would be hard to over-recommend Sequoia Flooring. After soliciting several bids from both big-box stores and independent floor companies, we decided to go with Sequoia because they were--by far--the most responsive, communicative, friendly, and knowledgeable (and their reviews online were stellar). Price-wise, their bid fell somewhere in the middle of all of our quotes, but they went the extra mile to work with our budget. Moreover, their level of expertise, care, and competence far exceeded the rest from day one. Dennis, our point of contact, was incredible throughout the process, from the very first consultation, through our (endless) debate about which color to go with, to the final walkthrough... he personally went above and beyond and single-handedly took our experience with Sequoia from great to fantastic. His team of installers were also all superb craftsmen--effortlessly competent but genuinely focused on the details. Punctual, neat, friendly, and great at their jobs--a surprisingly rare set of qualities in the home renovation world. The LVP floor was laid on-budget and under-schedule, and we couldn't be happier. From start to finish, the whole Sequoia Flooring team was absolutely outstanding, highly professional, responsive, and a pleasure to deal with. Their work is beautiful and very carefully done with precise attention to detail. They recently completed our stunning new birch hardwood floor installation, replacing old laminate and tile floors in our condo. Everything was on time and on budget without any surprises, and the results look even better than I could have imagined. I researched 10 flooring companies and got bids from 4 before I decided on Sequoia. My choice was not based on lowest price (although their pricing is competitive) but on their professionalism and their rave reviews. Dennis, the project manager/estimator, came out within 24 hours after I called, arrived early, and was highly knowledgeable, patient, organized and helpful. He spent a lot of time understanding exactly what we wanted done. He brought a great selection of samples and helped us find a type of wood floor we loved, within our budget. Dennis stayed involved through the whole process, from contract signing to the demolition of our old floors to the final inspection, and he responded to calls and texts within minutes. Whenever issues or questions came up, he handled them promptly and professionally. Juan and Leo, our installers, are dedicated craftsmen who really care about their work. There is an artistry to their approach, the creative solutions they find for difficult spaces and the way they keep everything looking natural and beautiful. They also kept the worksite tidy and organized, and were very respectful of our building, a condo with strict HOA regulations. I also wanted to give a shout-out to Sarah at the main office who does a great job coordinating scheduling, she also promptly handled all the paperwork and insurance certificates we needed for HOA approval prior to the job starting. Sequoia is clearly a very well managed company with staff who are passionate about their work and truly care about their customers.

This review is for the quote process. Two gentlemen came to my home after setting up an appointment, and were on time and very professional. They told me exactly what they would do to refinish my floors, and gave me a fair quote. They were slightly higher than the other bids I received, but it seems that there workmanship is the reason why.

Hired Joseph and his crew to dot floors, that did the white wash look to my existing floors . Joseph is a man of his word, amazing! I love the floors!!!

Sequoia Flooring have a superb service!! As a General Contractor I do not compromise on quality. I have been using other hardwood flooring companies before but non of them were to my standards. The last project they did for me was a Master Bedroom in Calabasas, the sub-floor was uneven and I had to come up with a solution for the transition between the hardwood floor and the fireplace hearth, Josef (the owner) took control of the situation and installed a hand-crafted transition piece between the hardwood floor and the hearth stone - I could not be happier with the end result, you cannot even tell that the sub-floor was uneven. That is one of the reasons Sequoia Flooring is my choice, they are creative, professional and their quality is beyond compare!!

After obtaining several estimates from various flooring companies, we ended up going with Sequoia Flooring and were glad we made the right choice! Sequoia Flooring offered a more competitive price than most other flooring companies and were also very quick to respond to any inquiries we had. They also managed to help us get the engineered floor that we wanted. They were really quick with their job and ended up putting together beautiful floors. Their price included helping us remove our old carpet and moving the furniture around. We are very happy with our new floors.
