Studio 8x3

My wife and I hired Studio 8x3 to design a future bathroom remodel. Suzanne came to our house and spent about 90 minutes with us exploring possible layouts. She then sat down with us for another 30 minutes to talk through options that would make sense for our needs. Only a few days later, Suzanne presented us with three different printed plans - each an original, unique design. Each layout was easy to read and complete with dimensions. She then sent us references to contractors they have worked with on past projects. Although we haven't embarked on the project yet, Studio 8x3 started us off with creative, well thought out designs.

Suzanne and Marisa have helped us with a variety of projects. They have always been timely, reliable, attentive, and detail-oriented. Their astute advice at different points during each project made our outcomes more functional and practical. Suzanne and Marisa always took time to get to know us and listen to our needs. They encouraged us to dream big with our projects, and helped us find practical ways to realize them. I can't recommend Suzanne and Marisa highly enough!

I worked with Studio 8 x 3 on a kitchen/main floor remodel of my 1940s home. It's a large house but, as was the style of the time, segmented into a lot of rooms connected with a dark hallway down the middle of the main floor. The kitchen had been previously remodeled but required a major update. The team at Studio 8 x 3 listened to my goals: 1) OPEN, light floor plan 2) gourmet kitchen 3) connected space for Entertaining. They came up with four different options and helped me envision the finished product. We combined my favorite elements of each option and came up with an amazing plan. My favorite feature was something I didn't even know to ask for - opening up the entryway and connecting the living room to the rest of the space. I am so thrilled with the finished product. It's really changed the feel and flow of our home in a way that I absolutely love. I strongly recommend Studio 8x3.

We hired Studio 8 x 3 to re-design the kitchen and a bathroom in our 1928 classic foursquare house. Before we bought the house, the kitchen had apparently been through several previous changes. There was no sign of what might have been the original cabinetry, floors or layout. We were anxious to have improved flow, more storage, and better use of the footprint of this classic style. Never in our wildest dreams did we imagine the wonderful options that Marisa and Suzanne would propose. They came up with ideas to completely open up and use space between the kitchen and dining room while preserving the charm and character that we love. They listened to our hopes and discovered ways to accomplish our goals. They responded to our questions with patience and wisdom. And most importantly, they provided us with a set of plans which far exceed our original goal. They bring wisdom, experience, compassion, and careful listening ability to their task. We are delighted with what they have provided us and look forward to continuing to work with them to see these plans come to full fruition.

I had the pleasure of working with Marisa and Suzanne of Studio 8x3 on a large project in the Ballard area where we removed multiple load bearing and non-load bearing walls to open up the floor plan of a home that incorporated a major kitchen renovation. To say they were well organized is an understatement. And their attention to detail is second to none. It has been incredibly difficult to make the transition from working with the two of them to working with other architects and designers. As a contractor, I greatly appreciate working with the both of them. And I look forward to the opportunity to be one of their clients.
