Tracy A. Stone Architect is a full-service, award-winning, architectural firm emphasizing sustainable design in a modernist context. Good design develops out of a successful collaboration between client and architect. We are committed to innovative solutions that evolve from this collaboration, as well as from a response to specific site parameters and local ecosystem concerns. Our goal is the creation of honest and durable structures that lyrically mix texture, color, light and materials to delight the senses, yet conserve energy and step lightly on the environment. Our typical range of project construction costs is $250,000 - $2.5 million, with the range of costs for new homes between $850,000 to $3 million. Whole house renovations are typically from $500,000 to $750,000, with remodels and additions from $250,000 to $800,000.

She brought in so much natural light into the house and created the most beautiful kitchen ever! Tracy is very easy to work with and I thought her fees were quite reasonable. After meeting with several architects that had experience with small lot subdivisions, we ultimately decided to go with Tracy A. Stone Architect. We felt that her aesthetics had the right mix of modern design with components that added warmth and charm that would appeal to a large portion of today's sophisticated home buyer. We are on to our 2nd SLS project with Tracy now, as well as a major renovation project of a "forever home" for my wife and I. Most importantly, we felt that Tracy has the right demeanor and personality that we were looking for in a long-term partnership. She has very well thought out ideas and is also a great listener. She takes time to hear our thoughts and goals, and can really translate them into her designs. We look forward to many more projects together!

After working with two prior architects, we hired Tracy A. Stone to design a remodel plan for our mid-century home in Altadena. We found Tracy to be an excellent listener, extremely detail-oriented, tremendously talented and an absolute pleasure to work with. She designs incredibly bright and beautiful spaces while keeping project stages moving smoothly and in a timely manner. Unfortunately for us, we wound up selling the house before we could bring her design to life. But we would hire her again without hesitation and wholeheartedly recommend her to anyone looking for an exceptionally-talented, down-to-earth architect to create a beautiful living or commercial space.

We engaged Tracy Stone for a multi-phase remodel in 2010, completing construction on the first phase in mid-2011. It was a wonderful experience. Tracy and her team have always been remarkably easy to work with, open to input, and a font of good ideas. We are currently working with her on finalizing plans for subsequent remodel phases and can't wait for the results.
