Larry designed a new kitchen, family/living/great room and bathrooms for the house my family originally bought in the 70s. He was also the project manager for the construction work. He and Anna did a fantastic job. Not only is the design terrific, but he brought aboard a great contractor and was very sensitive to costs. I'd recommend him highly to anyone who asked.

Larry has been a pleasure to work with and a source of wonderful ideas to transform our living space. He advised us to use more color rather than less to complement our diverse collection of artwork and it is just perfect. He made suggestions to guide our furniture search and assisted us with upholstery selections that have made the living room a lovely, welcoming place to spend time. In the space of an afternoon, Larry moved art pieces around so that the living areas now feel like a gallery. In short, his guidance has been very valuable and we are so pleased to have found him!

He walked my wife and I through the process and came up with ideas, colors , fabrics and patterns that we wanted but hit a wall trying to figure out. The way he tied our project together was absolutely amazing and we could not be any happier. Another thing we really liked and about Larry was his ability to provide a design and vision without breaking the bank or sending us to the high end fancy stores to make our home work for us. He is very price conscious and found us alternatives and gave us ideas to substitute the high priced things for something less expensive with just as much punch. Our project came together much nicer than we ever thought and we actually spent our money in the right places on the right products under Larrys’ tutelage. The way he held our hands through the process using patience and sincere desire to give us what WE wanted was very refreshing. I have used Uhrich Design for many projects (very large and somewhat small) over 20 years. They provide the most excellent level of service. In addition to Larry being an installation genius ( I have never seen anyone install a full giant wall worth of pictures in under a couple of hours), the best part of working with Uhrich Design is that I always feel that my taste, not the designers', comes through and is evident. Larry does not do 'trends' or quietly force you into some last craze in the designer world, he listens to your ideas, knows your taste and always sources the most incredible design finds.

We moved to a three story home, built in the 1930's that needed a complete remodel. Larry helped us with a kitchen re-do, four bathrooms, paint colors throughout the house, inside and out. When the construction phase was complete, he then did the decorating, placement of furniture, art work, etc. It was a challenging project that would have been overwhelming without his expertise. Everything he suggested was the right thing to do. We will definitely have him involved in our next project.

I'm midway through a full remodel of my studio condo, and I'm very happy that I chose to work with Uhrich Design. I've never done more than minor touchups before, so Larry's extensive experience was an immense help to me as he guided me through choosing appliances, plumbing fixtures, flooring, backsplashes, cabinets, countertops, etc, etc, etc. His ideas for the floorpan (facing my main room in the opposite direction!), opening up and the kitchen, and modernizing my bathroom and entryway, are bringing new life to my old condo. Larry worked with on a large master bedroom remodel recently. The husband and wife were not on the same page regarding what they wanted done and Larry was quit good at resolving this issue. The remodel is moving forward and should be completed next month. Larry had some great ideas that will make the end result better than we had originally planned.

There is a familiar quote among artist, “you can’t buy talent”. I am here to tell you that it is not true! I work as a Construction Project Manager and use to managing large scale commercial projects however I found myself overwhelmed and frustrated trying to manage my first substantial remodel of my own home. It wasn’t the Architect, the Contractor, or his Subcontractors; it was my time trying to manage research, decisions, choices, and quality control during construction against my schedule that became the issue. I have worked with Larry and Anna for (dare I say it?) more than 25 years. Larry and Anna Uhrich were the masterminds on a wholesale renovation and reconstruction of my home. Although working long-distance for the most part, they were on top of all of the myriad details of an extremely complicated design, including extensive ceiling and wall mouldings, a total rebuild of a French-syle kitchen/breakfast room, and purchases of rugs and furniture to finish the project. They understood our vision and responded with our own version of an 18th-Century French home, including extensive flooring and stained glass additions.

Larry and Anna are wonderful to work with. I have worked with them on several projects, and through each one they offered suggestions and styles unique to each project. During the design stage they brought up ideas which really transformed the use of the space beautifully once constructed. They really helped us achieve a "flow" through our house with their suggestions of colors, lighting and design elements.

We have used Uhrich Design for a number of projects beginning back in 1998 and as recent as two years ago, both for major remodels and interior design work of existing rooms. Working with them has been wonderful, both in terms of the quality of work and the relationship they establish with their clients. Larry has a wonderful sense of design, space and color so that his ideas match both the personalities of his clients and the personality of the existing space. Most importantly, he stays within the client's budget. Another strong point is the good working relationship that he develops with the contractors and workers involved with projects. I have worked with Larry and Anna on several projects over the past 12 years. They are an absolute pleasure to work with. Because of them, our home looks like something out of Architectural Digest. It really is that nice! They have designed our kitchen, master bedroom/bath and, most recently, the guest bath from layout to finishing touches; updated our living room, dining room, den and bedrooms - hardwood floors, area rugs, paint, wall hangings, light fixtures and furnishings, and helped design our new water efficient landscaping. He works to understand you, your needs, your style, how you live, your budget, and he designs to THESE, not to his desires. He consistently presented excellent choices -- for anything we were doing -- and was always there for solid advice grounded in expertise and experience if decisions were difficult. He brought brilliant space planning and solutions to make our home exponentially more livable -- and also beautiful. When referred to friends, he designed completely differently -- and to THEIR requirements.

I owe the success of my extensive home remodel to Larry at Uhrich Design! We took on a whole house remodel project and infused a modern / mid-century vibe into a 1979 California ranch house built around a beautiful courtyard. Larry came up with the floor plan changes that made the house feel more open and functional, but that didn't break the bank. We explored other major changes like raising the ceilings or filling in the sunken living room, but when the budget for those items exceeded the value, Larry was quick to bring us back to the choices that would keep us in budget. On that note - I think I saved money by working with Larry! First he saved us from over-investing on the big decisions, but then when it came to materials and fixtures he was quick to interject when I started veering towards ultra-luxury brands, when the economy-brand version was more than appropriate and would keep us in budget. Once he understood the style we were going for, he went out into the market and selected materials for us to choose from. I think in all cases, we went with his first choice. As the project moved closer to the finish line Larry was selecting paint colors and helping us coordinate all the details. It's a showstopper, and EXACTLY what we had envisioned. I am so thankful to Larry and Anna for the great ideas. They truly listen to hear what their customers want, and they accept feedback graciously, which is so important in a consulting relationship like this. We first selected Uhrich Design for their awesome space planning and interior finish abilities. They transformed our cramped, outdated 1940's bungalow kitchen into a spacious state-of-the-art 2015 epicurean dream, while keeping the style of the home intact.
