Gwentibold

I should thank a boy in high school for my brand name, he sang "welkom in het land van gwentibold" (taken from the song "Swentibold" by Clouseau). I needed an emailaddress and didn't want to include my last name, so there it was: gwentibold@hotmail.com. I started to use this name for all my social media activities, and it grew on me. It became something I liked. Now I love it ! It's me. It's fun. It's nothing. It's everything. The sound of it makes me happy (like the Pharrell song). I graduated as an interiorarchitect at St-Lucas Ghent, then I did a supplementary year of Furniture design at Campus Lucas Faydherbe Mechelen. I started to work as interiorarchitect in a really nice company called Cosenuove. I learned a lot on big renovations of old houses. After hours of traffic jams, I decided to work closer to home. I found an interesting job at Pinto&co, where I tasted the horeca & retail design, as well as delicious food from the Belga Queen restaurants. But then we moved to Ternat, where I worked at De Bouwerij as an independent interiorarchitect. I had the chance to work with them on the craziest and biggest project so far, a wine castle in the South of France, Château Castigno. This was an unbelievable experience with an excellent team and great wine! Then the biggest challenge of all: becoming a mom. Oh my... Rosie is - of course - my best project so far :-) Took a little side path after this life changing event, and learned a lot about retail design, selling products, taking care of a webshop, breastfeeding, ... at Boobs-'n-Burps. I designed the store in Antwerp, then worked at this fine little company for almost two years. But now it's time to be completely independent, so I'm taking my chances by working on my own projects (renovations big and small) from my home office.
