POLL: Snow - heaven or hindrance?

Winter isn't winter if there isn't any snow. I absolutely love the stuff and the minute December hits I'm ready for the snowfall. However not everyone shares my love for it - for some it's a reminder of the cold and a hazard when travelling.

But what do you think of snow - is it love or just pure loathing? Vote and tell us why!

I do like it a lot but I live in a hilly village and my car is hopeless in the snow. It looks pretty but we end up isolated!

I normally go on holiday during christmas and new year and the snow normally postpones/cancels our holiday.

    @alant100 - it's a double-edge sword snow!
@TonyMcIntyre - that is a nightmare. Maybe you should getaway now while you've got the chance? :)

I'm in a rural village too - we have 4x4's for the winter ! And if it's really bad our neighbours have tractors !!
Yay for snow ! Bring it on !!!!

It's fine if your job doesn't involve working outside. Landscaper you see. ;o)

Living in London i definitely miss the snow! But hearing everyone's countryside dilemmas, I'm beginning to feel like we're quite lucky!

My husband specialises in Winter sports photography so we love the snow & met in the French Alps 20 years ago. ❄️⛄️

It can be an inconvenience, but you can't deny the beauty.

It's all part of the 4 seasons. It's great if you love the outdoor snow activities, snuggling in a blanket by a fire, or hibernating like a bear!

Freshly fallen snow is absolutely heavenly! Many of our clients love watching the snow fall from the cozy comfort of their garden room with a mug of tea!

Some of my best childhood memories involve snowball fights and turning the incline down our garden path Into a sheet of ice to slide down. I might be too old to participate now, but snow still brings a smile to my face and makes me feel oddly calm, warm n cosy. I know it's a hazard and inconvenience too, but it's just too beautiful not to love!

I love snow, as long as it stops everything, and it is then peaceful, quiet and spiritual,, after 6 weeks it should melt and go away, no slush

I like to look at it but dread having to get around in it, we live on a hill. It's usually bad enough to cause problems but not bad enough to come to a standstill.

It a bright, fresh and exciting downfall that can be enjoyed by all, sledging, walking, building snowmen, snowball fights. Yes there is a downside/s to it but then would we not want a nice, hot, sunsoaked day just because we burn in the sun. Just have to go with it and after all it doesn't snow that often not to be able to put up with the inconviences every so often. 59 year old working grannie no spring chicken. Let it snow just be careful not to break a leg.

I love seeing the white landscape and there's always that excitement when it's snowing but it's a nightmare for us getting to work as our workshop is a mile up a country lane.

Nightmare when you have to get 2 buses to work. Standing in the freezing cold for an hour because your means of transport has been delayed due to the weather. Yes I love it!!!!!! OK rant over ;)
