Kitchen Problem

Hey Guys!
I'm so confused as to what to do with our kitchen. I don't like it as the granite is too pink and along with the cream color distressed cabinets makes the overall look of the kitchen to country for me. I like the look of a modern rustic but this is too rustic.
We were thinking of a more modern feel. We are thinking of changing the countertop to a quartzite similar to that of a carrara marble and refinishing the cabinets white with a pewter glaze.
The problem I'm running into is that everyone who has come by for an estimate says how nice the cabinets are and are shrikes we want to change them. So now we are second guessing.
Is there anything we can do to make it look more modern without hanging the cabinets? I don't think so but I's figure I would try!

il y a 9 ansDernière modification :il y a 9 ansIt's time to paint those cabinets, though glazes have faded in popularity so you could save yourselves some money by avoiding the glaze. Actually, since white is not the only color in the paint deck, you could consider a light green which would work well with your countertops.

Commentaires (5)Bonjour! Is your ceiling unique to the kitchen or continues for another room? You can use the ceiling to add color If just the kitchen. A medium intensity color would warm up the space without making somber. You can also choose a wall as an accent, keeping the rest very pale. Tones of yellow would be nice. See the Benjamin color trends for 2016. A lot of whites accentuated with colors. One room has yellow, but you don't have to go so intense. Also see on houzz "clored" ceilings. You can also use our window frames to add contrast painting them a darker shade of gray or charcoal. It gives character, definition and class Sorry i dont have photos to demontrate at the moment (problem with iphone:( but you can always find on houzz) :) Hope this helps!... Commentaires (85)Pas très coloré tout ça... ;) Vu la couleur actuelle (un blanc légèrement plus foncé que vos plinthes), elle est déjà "blanc cassé". Certes, la matière ne se fait pas ressentir en photo, mais je doute que remettre un autre blanc cassé vous changera grande chose. Perso, je préfère des teintes neutres avec des accessoires changeables permettant de redonner un coup de "changement" aux moindre frais / temps, mais une peinture murale reste facile à changer, si vous vous lassez à terme. Il faut aussi faire TRES attention avec une image sur écran. On a même du mal a choisir un blanc sur un vrai nuancier papier - la perception de la couleur change intégralement selon le type de support et le type d'éclairage.... Il faut juste répondre à toutes les questions afin d'avoir les commandes à leur bonne place / taille. Il y a des larges lattes, des moyennes lattes et des fines lattes. www.stores-discount.com Si c'était moi, je viderai la partie en prolongement du plan, laissant un beau vide (et surface complémentaire de travail) et je mettrais un store du haut jusqu'à la première étagère en bas. bon courage, Lynn... Commentaires (37)Bonsoir. Le fait qu'il y ait un cache plutôt qu'une prise ne présume pas forcément de la puissance de la ligne. Il faut IMPERATIVEMENT trouver quel point est raccordé au disjoncteur différentiel 32A du tableau (s'il y en a un !) Il y a un risque réel d'incendie à tirer sur un câble sous dimensionné. En plus, si l'appartement est ancien (donc pas aux normes récentes) et utilisait le gaz avant vous, il n'est peut être pas équipé pour une plaque électrique. On a dû vous remettre un bilan technique avant la signature du bail. Quelles sont les remarques qu'il comporte sur l'installation électrique ?... Voir plus
