I'm inclined to move the sofa into the room a bit more, getting it off the wall a bit rather than move the rug under it. The rug defines the space well! A narrow sofa table behind the main length of the sofa and under the lovely art would be nice for a lamp and other décor.
PROI would also pull the sofa more into the space and put a narrow sofa table under the beautiful artwork. You can accessorize the table with a lamp and other beautiful accessories. It's a beautiful space and you have done an excellent job!
