Family room needs your help to brighten up

Our family room is huge, we have been thinking about different ideas but end up disagreeing as to what would look good .
There is a lot of space behind the sofa that I'm not sure how to best make use of. We already have a dining room so can't put another one. We plan to buy a bigger Tv and put a big media console for the huge wall. There is plenty of sunshine in the morning, not happy with the blinds as they look dull and boring, should I use curtains instead, what colors would you use to make it homely and warm. I have two young teens, want them to spend more time here than in their rooms. What can we do with the niche space near the tv.
I have looked at several photos and ideas but need your help to put is all together.
Any suggestions or ideas please?

Je suis d'accord pour garder ce meuble qui m'a fait penser aux intérieurs de FLW avec ce bois, ces moulures ... Je pense que vous devriez repeindre les murs dans un ton plus clair afin de gagner en luminosité. De plus il faudrait revoir l'éclairage artificielle de cette pièce aussi, avec une suspension par exemple. Vous pourriez aussi repeindre le fond du meuble de la même couleur que les murs pour lui donner moins de présence, mais j'avoue que cette idée serait la dernière option. Commentaires (84)bonjour, ils sont très bien les rideaux que vous avez trouvé, le bleu est bien clair et dans les tons pastels que nous utilisions beaucoup en Scandinavie. Le bleu assortie pour le coussin est parfait. Si vous souhaitez vous rapprocher du style Scandinave il faut choisir entre rideaux et voilage comme on ne mets jamais le deux, beaucoup trop lourd pour nous intérieurs ou on essaye toujours garder une luminosité maximale. En Tunisie vous avez le problème contraire donc il faudra s'adapter et trouver une équilibre entre le style Scandinave et vous besoins. Si vous souhaitez avoir une voilage je conseillerai vivement un blanc uni, sans rayure! votre tableau bleu et jaune sera très bien avec l'ensemble, il est très beau!... It looks like your entertainment wall could use some sprucing up, so you could easily try getting a new TV console in a color that might work in your space and add book shelves to the space. Also a new rug and window treatments. See our design in photo three? Then what about adding a pool table or a bar to the back part of the room since you have so much extra space?
