Feature Wall outside.

I am looking to do a feature wall outside, but it needs to have the look of something that can also flow inside aswell. Any help/ideas/paint/cladding/sugestions?


we were thinking wood/stone/concrete? The wall inside will have a recessed TV etc.. I will have an inside and outside porcelain tile, so was also looking for a wall option which was also inside and outside.


Any advice and help welcomed.

      Thanks Jonathan, I like it, but was after something a bit different, unique, or unusual and i've seen this one in most tile shops.

      It depends on what the porcelain floor tile is like, Have you any photos of the space?

      The porcelain tile is a sort of mottled mid greyish/brown colour inside and outside on the floor, so i'm just after something for the wall which is also inside and out. The wall doesn't have to be porcelain tile.

      Quite like the timber cladding, I guess that particularly the exterior cladding will need regular finishing though, to keep its original colour and match to the interior part.

      I like the mid century timber, but looks too much like an outside office or garden room. I'm after maybe something either a bit more industrial or vintage, but still warm, or a bit more modern?

      Oh, that reclaimed barn wood made me remember: ever heard of Shou Sugi Ban? It's a Japanese method of preserving wood by burning it black. Sounds odd, is beautiful!
