Very pretty kitchen. Not sure what granite counter is or if it photographs different than real life. No answer on type of counter but someone suggested Kashmir Gold or Kashmir White Granite.

Island color different. I like the idea of different island color to surrounding counter color but prefer them to blend better (i.e. where grey works its way through white island and surrounding counters are gray). Flush inset seamed together
Island color: I really like this island color. I feel like if you are going to do a contrasting island color it really needs to contrast - not just barely
