Custom Victorian
Jeff Abrams, Architect
A distinctive hillside Victorian home for a builder and his family on the eastern slope of the Colorado Rocky Mountains. Challenges came from the desire to have garden level light with a south-facing front porch open to the view in addition to the need to accommodate a side loaded garage. The tower form integrates brick masonry and accommodates the loft without piercing the stringent height limit. The design provides significant "passive" solar access with many glazed openings on the South elevation.
