Layers of light create a fun and dynamic entry to this custom loft. Lighting was designed to provide, color, accentuate texture, light art and have a little fun while complementing the sheeting water feature. Reflections of the entry lighting features appear to float in the sheeting water for those who enter this award winning loft.

As long as you don't have a furnace or boiler in the room, you can convert a basement utility room to a wine cellar. The wine bins are open in the back so you can reach through to access water valves. Spray paint walls and ceiling (including all exposed pipes) in a matt black and have simple diamond shaped wine bins built to fit. We used leftover terra-cotta tiles to warm up the concrete cellar floor, and an old piece of moisture resistant cypress as the tasting bar.

The flooring is blue stone. The wine racking was custom designed into steel frames. This wine room holds approximately 500 bottles. At one end of the wine room, we designed a custom display case for wine cases the owner had collected from various parts of the world.
To expand the view of the space. Above the ceiling is clad is reclaimed oak and a custom steel light fixture.

Drawing inspiration from the sleeping subway tunnels under Cincinnati, we created this wine bar with an arched brick ceiling.

This industrial modern cellar blends rustic materials with flawlessly clear lucite wine racks. We also designed a lighting stradegy for the wine racks that made them shimmer and glow.

This wine cellar was custom designed for a client who wanted a sophisticated and unique space to keep their vast wine collection. Senior designer, Ayca, utilized onyx stone for the accent walls to steer away from the traditional and create the perfect statement piece for this one-of-a-kind design. Upon opening the wine cellar door, you are struck by the stunning colors and movements within the onyx walls, complemented by the intricate asymmetrical shelving and cabinetry that incorporates rich natural wood. Backlighting and framing create two focal points within the space, emphasizing the true beauty of the agate stone. This star piece, along with solid stain walnut cabinets, custom shelving, and steel wine peg inserts seamlessly blend within this chilled and temperature-controlled bar. This wine cellar is a hidden gem within this modern transitional home.
