The bed is a day bed or trundle, with a pull-out bed that pops up to create a king-sized bed. Quilted bed cover, bed skirt and pillows are all custom. Bed by Corsican. Window treatments custom. Marker Girl HomeWith this Master Bedroom, I added an upholstered bed with a straight clean line to compliment the window detail. The two nightstands that are added fit the very small space, the two tall slender lamps were added to give it height. A softly shaped cornice to cover the half windows along with remote controlled shades tucked underneath during the daytime. The bedding and fabric on the cornice were selected to match and to bring in more color. All of these details are opening this space up and not overcrowding it. Painted in Sherwin William 7623 Buff

Mabel Fox DesignSometimes what a small bedroom needs is a rich wall colour, to create a cosy inviting space. Here we have Yellow Pink, by Little Greene Paint Company looking fabulous with Wimborne White on the woodwork and ceilings and Elmore fabric curtains in Feather Grey by Romo. We have managed to squeeze a small double bed in, with a bedside chest of drawers and a beautiful linen cupboard too. Accents of mustard, grey and pale pink working beautifully together here.

This young couple needs adult time, a space that they can retreat in from their very busy lives, a place they can be grown up in. Funny how this house was laid out; all the rooms are small but the master was more like a dance floor. I decided to add an island wall, dividing the space so that they could have the look and feel of a walk in leading them to on suite bathroom and using the opposite side the wall to house yet another dresser and TV. The bay window was the perfect space to add 2 very yellow swivel chairs to sit and relax and enjoy the peaceful view. Centering the bed with 2 small dressers instead of night tables not only gives more storage, but more surface as well as makes the space appear larger than it is. I wanted this room to be relaxing but cheerful as well, hence the yellow, It is like bringing the outdoor nature in to the room and blending it to perfection.

We installed a wallpaper feature wall in the master bedroom and ensuite, as well as a painted brick wall in the living room. It was important for our client to display their many pieces or artwork so we incorporated a few of these with the amazing Samsung Frame t.v. Can you figure out which is the tv and which is the actual artwork?
