Boerne Kitchens and BathsThis homeowner wanted to increase the size of her kitchen and make it a family center during gatherings. The old dining room was brought into the kitchen, doubling the size and dining room moved to the old formal living area. Shaker Cabinets in a pale yellow were installed and the island was done with bead board highlighted to accent the exterior. A baking center on the right side was built lower to accommodate the owner who is an active bread maker. That counter was installed with Carrara Marble top. Glass subway tile was installed as the backsplash. The Island counter top is book matched walnut from Devos Woodworking in Dripping Springs Tx. It is an absolute show stopper when you enter the kitchen. Pendant lighting is a multipe light with the appearance of old insulators which the owner has collected over the years. Open Shelving, glass fronted cabinets and specialized drawers for trash, dishes and knives make this kitchen the owners wish list complete.

A new and surprising pair
The Motus project by Scavolini, designed by Vittore Niolu, brings together function and entertainment, privacy and familiarity, using “independent” elements that can be put together and taken apart, and even recombined over time, based on the available space and functional needs. The idea of kitchen and living room evolves in total creative liberty. A brand new proposal that allows an infinite number of configurations: surprising not only in its unusual lines but also in its essential and elegant design with details that reveal a new identity of the environment we work and live in today.
Marks of distinction include the asymmetric opening of the door with no handle, the unique interpretation of the glass door, the geometry of the shaped drawer, the new island and peninsula units; and the sophisticated chromatic range of the elements (gloss and matt lacquer, or melamine with matching finishes) proposed in a line dedicated to today’s most popular colours.

We've been lusting after beautiful mustard colours for a long time now, and we decided to finally take the plunge. We knew that the arrangement of cabinets that we had created for the back wall would look perfect in a statement colour, with the beautiful open walnut shelving that perfectly complements this colour palette. We love how the rich intensity of this timber adds such a sophisticated vibe to the kitchen and helps to break up the yellow slightly.
We also knew that we had the island that we could use to create an eye-catching feature in the design. We kept the same white quartz worktop on the island, as it has a gorgeous wrap around feature that we think works perfectly with the rest of the kitchen.
We love Inchyra Blue by Farrow and Ball, and after seeing so many of our customers use it in their kitchens, we knew that we needed to incorporate it in some way into the Pelham Kitchen. We didn't want to overpower the India Yellow in any way and didn't want it to feel like the colours were battling against one another.
By having the small island finished in Inchyra Blue allows both colours to separately gain attention and create a beautiful comfortable feeling within the room. We wanted to create subtle points of symmetry throughout the room, so used walnut backings within the Ladbroke handles to tie in with the other use of the walnut in the kitchen.
