Plain & PoshThis young family wanted to update their kitchen and loved getting away to the coast. We tried to bring a little of the coast to their suburban Chicago home. The statement pantry doors with antique mirror add a wonderful element to the space. The large island gives the family a wonderful space to hang out, The custom "hutch' area is actual full of hidden outlets to allow for all of the electronics a place to charge.
Warm brass details and the stunning tile complete the area.

Inspired by their beloved collection of Heath Ceramics tableware and needing an open space for the family to gather to do homework, make bread, and enjoy Friday Pizza Night…a new kitchen was born.
Interior Architecture.
Removal of one wall that provided a major obstruction, but no structure, resulted in connection between the family room, dining room, and kitchen. The new open plan allowed for a large island with seating and better flow in and out of the kitchen and garage.
Interior Design.
Vertically stacked, handmade tiles from Heath Ceramics in Ogawa Green wrap the perimeter backsplash with a nod to midcentury design. A row of white oak slab doors conceal a hidden exhaust hood while offering a sleek modern vibe. Shelves float just below to display beloved tableware, cookbooks, and cherished souvenirs.
In the DeetsModern farmhouse full home remodel featuring custom finishes throughout. A moody and rich palette, brass and black fixtures, and warm wood tones make this home a one-of-a-kind.

Riki S. DesignStunning kitchen as part of a new construction project. This kitchen features two tone kitchen cabinets, a pantry wall, 10 ft island and a coffee station.
Breathe Design StudioOur Austin studio decided to go bold with this project by ensuring that each space had a unique identity in the Mid-Century Modern style bathroom, butler's pantry, and mudroom. We covered the bathroom walls and flooring with stylish beige and yellow tile that was cleverly installed to look like two different patterns. The mint cabinet and pink vanity reflect the mid-century color palette. The stylish knobs and fittings add an extra splash of fun to the bathroom.
The butler's pantry is located right behind the kitchen and serves multiple functions like storage, a study area, and a bar. We went with a moody blue color for the cabinets and included a raw wood open shelf to give depth and warmth to the space. We went with some gorgeous artistic tiles that create a bold, intriguing look in the space.
In the mudroom, we used siding materials to create a shiplap effect to create warmth and texture – a homage to the classic Mid-Century Modern design. We used the same blue from the butler's pantry to create a cohesive effect. The large mint cabinets add a lighter touch to the space.

Kennedy Cole Interior DesignWithout enlarging the territory this kitchen had an enormous makeover and has since transformed the way this home operates. Brass fixtures and marble tile with gold inlay is what ties everything together in this simple yet timeless space.
CT DesignThis kitchen was part of a larger main floor remodel that included the living room, dining room, entryway, and stair. The original dropped ceilings were removed so the kitchen ceiling could be vaulted to match the rest of the main floor. New beams were added. Commercial refrigeration plus a 48" range with double ovens and two dishwashers provides the functionality this large family needed. Seating for 12 at the dining table and 5 at the peninsula.
