Everything HomeWe brightened up this 10-year-old house on a modest budget. We lightened the kitchen countertops and backsplash tiles to contrast with the existing cabinetry and flooring. We gave the living room a comfortable coastal vibe with lighter walls, updated fireplace tiles, and new furniture arranged to include wheelchair access and a pet play area.

Cabinet JointThis customer combined Frosty White painted uppers with Saddle-stained Hickory base cabinets for a warm and timeless dream space. The standard birch interiors on the glass door cabinet tie the warm wood floors and base cabinets into the upper section and bring everything together. Drawer cabinets abound for convenient storage, and the appliance cabinets are custom-sized to carry the inset design throughout.

and a wine column. The luxury vinyl flooring adds warmth to this elegantly designed kitchen.
Providence DesignReclaimed brick floors and wooden doors leading to a working pantry off the kitchen give the room the feeling of having been in place for decades. "If we have the opportunity, this is a space we try to incorporate in every home because it is just so versatile," Mona says of the area, which includes both a wine fridge and coffee bar as well as an abundance of storage.

Srote & Co Architects | Planners | InteriorsThis architecture and interior design project was introduced to us by the client’s contractor after their villa had been damaged extensively by a fire. The entire main level was destroyed with exception of the front study.
Srote & Co reimagined the interior layout of this St. Albans villa to give it an "open concept" and applied universal design principles to make sure it would function for our clients as they aged in place. The universal approach is seen in the flush flooring transitions, low pile rugs and carpets, wide walkways, layers of lighting and in the seated height countertop and vanity. For convenience, the laundry room was relocated to the master walk-in closet. This allowed us to create a dedicated pantry and additional storage off the kitchen where the laundry was previously housed.
