Upon entering, the Crittal-style doors reveal the beautiful interior of the kitchen, complete with a bespoke island that boasts a curved bench seat that can comfortably seat four people. The island also features seating for three, a Quooker tap, AGA oven, and a rounded oak table top, making it the perfect space for entertaining guests. The mirror splashback adds a touch of elegance and luxury, while the traditional high ceilings and bi-fold doors allow plenty of natural light to flood the room.
The island is not just a functional space, but a stunning piece of design as well. The curved cupboards and round oak butchers block are beautifully complemented by the quartz worktops and worktop break-front. The traditional pilasters, nickel handles, and cup pulls add to the timeless feel of the space, while the bespoke serving tray in oak, integrated into the island, is a delightful touch.

As always, our bespoke kitchens are designed and built to suit lifestyle and family needs and this one is no exception. Plenty of island seating and really importantly, lots of room to move around it. Large cabinets and deep drawers for convenient storage plus accessible shelving for cook books and a wine fridge perfectly positioned for the cook! Look closely and you’ll see that the larder is shallow in depth. This was deliberately (and cleverly!) designed to accommodate a large beam behind the back of the cabinet, yet still allows this run of cabinets to look balanced.
We’re loving the distinctive brass handles by Armac Martin against the Hardwicke White paint colour on the cabinetry - along with the Hand Silvered Antiqued mirror splashback there’s plenty of up-to-the-minute design details which ensure this classic shaker is contemporary yes classic in equal measure.
Humphrey MunsonThis luxury bespoke kitchen is situated in a stunning family home in the leafy green London suburb of Hadley Wood. The kitchen is from the Nickleby range, a design that is synonymous with classic contemporary living. The kitchen cabinetry is handmade by Humphrey Munson’s expert team of cabinetmakers using traditional joinery techniques.
The kitchen itself is flooded with natural light that pours in through the windows and bi-folding doors which gives the space a super clean, fresh and modern feel. The large kitchen island takes centre stage and is cleverly divided into distinctive areas using a mix of silestone worktop and smoked oak round worktop.
The client really loved the Spenlow handles so we used those for this Nickleby kitchen. The double Bakersfield smart divide sink by Kohler has the Perrin & Rowe tap and a Quooker boiling hot water tap for maximum convenience.
The painted cupboards are complimented by smoked oak feature accents throughout the kitchen including the two bi-folding cupboard doors either side of the range cooker, the round bar seating at the island as well as the cupboards for the integrated column refrigerator, freezer and curved pantry.
The versatility of this kitchen lends itself perfectly to modern family living. There is seating at the kitchen island – a perfect spot for a mid-week meal or catching up with a friend over coffee. The kitchen is designed in an open plan format and leads into the dining area which is housed in a light and airy conservatory garden room.

The project involved a major extension and remodelling project that resulted in a very large space that the homeowners were keen to utilise and include amongst other things, a walk in larder, a scullery, and a large island unit to act as the hub of the kitchen.

burlanes interiorsLocated amongst acres of fields and farmland and set back away from the hustle and bustle of Sevenoaks, this property boasts beautiful views of the countryside. To make the most of this, the homeowners embarked on an extension to the rear of the home, creating a stunning orangery style kitchen and dining room, and Burlanes were commissioned to design, handmake and install a traditional style shaker kitchen with all the benefits of contemporary living.

This framed shaker kitchen is hand painted in two Little Greene colours - Slaked Lime Green Deep and French Grey Dark – both of which are an ideal match for the resilient and durable Lagoon Quartz worktop and but also a lovely contrast to the Planked Oak at the curved end of the island.
Specially commissioned, to form a feature of the room, is the bespoke large dresser with its floating oak shelves, perfect for display and the glazed cupboards which are handy for accessibility as well as looking classic and timeless.
Keeping it contemporary the owners chose an elegant Antiqued Mirror splashback with gold backing which helps to elevate this classic Shaker out-of-the-ordinary and adds a real touch of pzzazz! Other great choices are the gorgeous Lacanche Macon Classic Range Cooker in Mandarin - a bang-on-trend colour which adds warmth and personality as well as being a really good cooker and the large Liebherr fridge freezer in Stainless Steel. An essential for family living, and something we’re regularly asked to build, is the chalk board cupboard which has a convenient push-to-open mechanism and shelves inside – the perfect space for storing all of your spices or, opt for hooks to keep your keys out of sight!
The cool limestone flooring is a great choice and keeps it practical - timely considering the owners welcomed their first child during the build!
The design, space and colour scheme of this kitchen have all been thoughtfully considered to accommodate the large solid oak dining table which our lovely owners base their entertaining of family and friends around – and isn’t that what it’s all about?!

Humphrey MunsonWe were delighted to work with the homeowners of this breathtakingly beautiful luxury home in Ascot, Berkshire to create their dream kitchen.
Comprising a large open plan kitchen / dining space, utility room, boot room and laundry room, the project was almost completely a blank canvas except for the kitchen the house came with which was cramped and ill-fitting for the large space.
With three young children, the home needed to serve the needs of the family first but also needed to be suitable for entertaining on a reasonably large level. The kitchen features a host of cooking appliances designed with entertaining in mind including the legendary Wolf Duel fuel Range with Charbroiler with a Westin extractor. Opposite the Wolf range and integrated into the island are a Miele microwave and Miele sous chef warming drawer.
The large kitchen island acts the main prep area and includes a Villeroy & Boch Double Butler Sink with insinkerator waste disposal, Perrin & Rowe Callisto Mixer Tap with rinse and a Quooker Pro Vaq 3 Classic tap finished in polished nickel. The eurocargo recycling pullout bins are located in the island with a Miele dishwasher handily located either side to ensure maximum efficiency. Choosing the iconic Sub-Zero fridge freezer for this kitchen was a super choice for this large kitchen / dining area and provides ample storage.
The dining area has a Weathered Oak Refectory Table by Humphrey Munson. The table seats 10 so works really well for entertaining friends and family in the open plan kitchen / dining area. The seating is by Vincent Sheppard which is perfect for a family with young children because they can be easily maintained.

The kitchen was designed by Peter Humphrey, Design Director of Humphrey Munson, and handcrafted by our team of cabinetmakers at our workshop in Felsted, Essex.
With windows on two sides as well as bi-folding glass doors the full length of the kitchen, the space is light, airy and welcoming. The kitchen is from the Nickleby range, a simple and understated design perfect for modern living. The neutral colour palette gives the kitchen a really calm, tranquil and uncomplicated feel.
The worktops (including the island) are Amazon Suede – a new extra-matt finish by Silestone which has a more intense colour and a much more efficient performance against stains, marks and fingerprints. It’s a natural quartz surface treated and is brown in colour with darker shades of brown flecks. It also has the anti-bacterial protection exclusive to Silestone.
The sink area looks out across the front of the home and has an IO mixer tap in chrome by Perrin & Rowe, a boiling hot water tap and a double butler ceramic Deerfield sink by Kohler. Cooking appliances include the Britannia Delphi range cooker and Siemens Microwave oven. Refrigeration is by Liebherr and includes a fridge and freezer with ice maker, both of which are integrated behind Nickleby pantry style doors. The wine fridge by CDA provides excellent wine preservation and is integrated into the kitchen island. The Miele dishwasher is also integrated behind a Nickleby door and situated just underneath the sink run for maximum convenience and ease when clearing away dishes after a meal.
