Andover Landscape Design & ConstructionThe client asked us to create a low maintenance, highly functional front entry to this beachfront retreat. As with most beach homes, guest parking is critical and creating an easy to navigate parking area is paramount to design success. We chose to maximize the front yard without turning it into a parking lot. Native crushed stone parking pads surrounded by sun loving, drought tolerant plants create exactly what the client was looking for.

A small residential, seaside property located on Saugatuck Island in Wesport was rebuilt after devastating damage by a hurricane. All that remained from the original property was the pool and pool terrace. The house was raised approximately 5 feet to meet new FEMA codes and rebuilt under the design team of the owner, a well-known interior designer. Barbara was part of the landscape architectural team that helped create a sense of place for the new house. The landscape design included the addition of new walls and steps to the front door, new custom fencing surrounding the pool, an outdoor shower, landscape lighting, a custom fountain in the back yard, a sandbox (used as a relief area for the dog) and all new plantings. She coordinating obtaining bids and then supervised installation of the project.
Cording Landscape DesignIrregular quartzite slabs are used as the terrace surface while granite is used to construct the curved retaining wall. Granite boulders are intermingled into the landscape as accents. Weeping spruce, blue lyme grass, Torulosa juniper and many other salt-tolerant plants create a lush garden in the front foundation.

UserThe goal of this landscape design and build project was to create a nautical inspired patio at a residence in Dennis, MA. We chose to use natural cleft true blue rectangular bluestone pavers to represent the ocean. The client opted for matching grey patio furniture that blended in with the stone, and accented the patio with a white and blue floral border. Designed and built by Skyline Landscapes LLC.
