Ruth Consoli DesignLonicera sempervirens (Coral or Trumpet Honeysuckle) is a native vine, reaching approx. 20' with red tubular flowers that attract hummingbirds, bees and butterflies. Fruit attracts quail, goldfinch, hermit thrush and American robin. Larvel host to the spring azure and spring clearwing moth. Trellises were constructed by the client reusing existing bamboo stakes they already had, a a great do-it-yourself project - reuse, recycle, functional and aesthetically pleasing.

Clement Walsh Landscape Architect, Inc.A dry stream bed was designed and installed to assist with drainage for the front of the property. A quaint white picket fence defines the space, and separates the new apple and pear orchard from the rest of the front yard. The lawn and gravel paths are edged with steel, to define the spaces and to contain the gravel from the bark mulch flower beds and the lawn.
The plantings along the driveway and orchard include: Japanese Holly (Ilex crenata 'Convexa'), Gulf Stream Heavenly Bamboo (Nandina domestica 'Gulf Stream'), Flaming Silver Andromeda (Pieris japonica 'Flaming Silver'), and spirea.

Added yellow around the cascading pond with Iris pseudacorus planted in the marginal areas. We have used local Kentish ragstone, quarried less than two miles away, to create the retaining walls. This garden has been the venue for our client's 50th wedding anniversary as well as raising funds for charity by opening the gates for the public to enjoy.
