The Interiors ChapterA recently completed project for a little boys first bedroom. We used Craig and Rose's paint on the wall and added pops of rust and navy with accessories. The bookshelves created a little reading nook and we added comfort with lots of cosy textiles.

D. Buckley DesignLindsay and her husband Geoff have a new home in Washington D.C. and needed to transform the extra room in to a space suitable for their new little addition. I was excited to take on the project, using Lindsay's beloved childhood stuffed penguin 'Pengi' as a starting point for inspiration. With an arctic-cool color palette, some great Etsy finds, and a little elbow grease, the room came together perfectly: a modern, arctic nursery for their little boy August. Complete with penguins, of course.

Suya WangI would like a cheerful room for my baby and chose bright mustard yellow as the main colour. In the meantime, as I learned baby only can tell black & white colour for a while, I chose black wallpaper for the rest two walls. I am worried it's too bold, but after putting them all on, I am pretty happy with the result. And of course, yellow and black normally go well together.
The cot and Change table is Babyletto Lolly brand. Package price $1500;
The single bed is passed down from a friend. I bought the draw knobs from Etsy;
Animal Heads Deco bought on RoyalDesign. $80 each;
Clock, paintings and other small deco all bought from Taobao.
As an amateur, I am pretty happy with the end result, and I believe the same with my baby. Hope you like it too :)

BelovedThis nursery has a lovely modern underwater theme. The decals were the beginning inspiration and I just love the playful yet sophisticated motif. The painting is a custom art piece - it turned out just beautiful. I suggested to the artist we wanted a seahorse and the colors and it turned out better than I could have imagined! The little bit of black really grounds the room. Floating shelves and white furniture make the room seem larger than it is. The mirrored closet doors also add dimension - we applied one of the decals to the door which added interest and style. One of my favorite parts of this nursery is the jellyfish mobile. Custom made by yours truly and includes tiny LED lights for a nightlight effect that can be on or off or even twinkling! The tentacles are various colored beads and the "fish net" fabric is strung with tiny silver shells, starfish, seahorses and other treasures from the sea.
Perry InteriorsColourful kids bedroom for a three year old. The room needed plenty of storage for toys, books and clothes, but also to have plenty of usable spaces. So I incorporated a small reading nook and chose the mid-sleeper bed for the increased storage. Plus it doubles as a pull out bed underneath for sleepovers. I kept the base colours to clean greys and white and brought the scheme together with pops of colour echoed in the bunting, bedding etc for a modern, scandi look.
