Design Me By MahlahThis little coastal bathroom is full of fun surprises. The NativeTrails shell vessel sink is our star. The blue toned herringbone shower wall tiles are interesting and lovely. The blues bring out the blue chips in the terrazzo flooring which reminds us of a sandy beach. The half glass panel keeps the room feeling spacious and open when bathing. The herringbone pattern on the beachy wood floating vanity connects to the shower pattern. We get a little bling with the copper mirror and vanity hardware. Fun baskets add a tidy look to the open linen closet. A once dark and generic guest bathroom has been transformed into a bright, welcoming, and beachy space that makes a statement.
Pretty DomesticatedThe now dated 90s bath Katie spent her childhood splashing in underwent a full-scale renovation under her direction. The goal: Bring it down to the studs and make it new, without wiping away its roots. Details and materials were carefully selected to capitalize on the room’s architecture and to embrace the home’s traditional form. The result is a bathroom that feels like it should have been there from the start. Featured on HAVEN and in Rue Magazine Spring 2022.
JTID Inc.Two small spaces were combined to create one substantial children’s bathroom. Per the client’s request, two wall-mounted sinks were preferred over a traditional vanity setup. A large marble bench and side cabinet provide plenty of storage. The floating tub was integrated within the shower to create a dedicated wet area. MIREWORKSWhat a transformation! Originally, this master bath featured a large deck tub which was tucked in to the corner where the new wet area currently lies. The tub was walled in on practically all sides, and controlled too much of the baths underutilized square footage. By taking the tub out of the deck and relocating it against the far wall, we now could use the space in front of the tub for a large walk-in shower, creating a wet area. In addition, this move allowed us to use the space that had previously housed the small shower as a designated makeup counter.
