Minosa | Design Life BetterWe can not over think these spaces, they are usually very tight and they require hi function and obviously a design aesthetic that is pleasing to the client. This space is and was no different, the original toilet was directly in front of the door and the first thing you would see upon entry, which meant the door was mostly closed.
The real success of this design apart from the design aesthetic is the function, now on entry you see the vanity and from a function perspective this is the centre of the space; generally the last thing you use so it makes sense to be the first and last item of view and use.
To maximise the space we chose to put the shower directly next to the bath and build the bath in so it is a wet area. This has many function benefits but for this small space it comes back to use of the floor space and the function.
Storage is also always a big problem in apartment living in Sydney and this bathroom renovation is no different. At every turn we required storage, there is the recessed "shaving" cabinet over the Minosa ScoopED basin and single pullout drawer, there is a two door recessed cabinet over the in wall cistern which is cleverly tucked away behind the large floor to ceiling mirror panel and finally there are recessed niches concealed into the built up wall.
So when considering your bathroom renovation, think not only about the aesthetic but the function - the more thought, the better the results.

LaMantia Design and RemodelingThe owner of this urban residence, which exhibits many natural materials, i.e., exposed brick and stucco interior walls, originally signed a contract to update two of his bathrooms. But, after the design and material phase began in earnest, he opted to removed the second bathroom from the project and focus entirely on the Master Bath. And, what a marvelous outcome!
With the new design, two fullheight walls were removed (one completely and the second lowered to kneewall height) allowing the eye to sweep the entire space as one enters. The views, no longer hindered by walls, have been completely enhanced by the materials chosen.
The limestone counter and tub deck are mated with the Riftcut Oak, Espresso stained, custom cabinets and panels. Cabinetry, within the extended design, that appears to float in space, is highlighted by the undercabinet LED lighting, creating glowing warmth that spills across the buttercolored floor.
Stacked stone wall and splash tiles are balanced perfectly with the honed travertine floor tiles; floor tiles installed with a linear stagger, again, pulling the viewer into the restful space.
The lighting, introduced, appropriately, in several layers, includes ambient, task (sconces installed through the mirroring), and “sparkle” (undercabinet LED and mirrorframe LED).
The final detail that marries this beautifully remodeled bathroom was the removal of the entry slab hinged door and in the installation of the new custom five glass panel pocket door. It appears not one detail was overlooked in this marvelous renovation.

This kitchen boasts a quartz island in White Zeus with a double edge and a Ceasarstone Perimeter counter in Pebble. For the cabinetry we used Mouser/Centra, Stratford style doors with beaded insets with white painted finish and Jeffery Alexander hardware. We created custom paneling and columns for the base of the island. In the bathroom the vanity and tub deck is in Venera White Corian with Custom Cabinetry painted with Linen.
Laura Engen Interior DesignIn this remodel, we gutted the previous fixtures, opened a wall (where the shower currently stands) to make room for a stand alone shower and a soaking tub. We opted for neutral colors in the tile so that we could go with a little bolder wall color. The marble hex floor tile and Cambria quartz tub surround offer texture against the white subway tile. Grab bars were added to the shower and tub for extra support.

A deep soaking tub has controls conveniently located on the outer edge, and a bench edge for getting in and out easily.
Floating cabinets provide toe space for a wheelchair rider, and a lift system on the ceiling makes it easy to get anywhere in the room - toilet, shower, or tub - and all the way to the master bed.

Marion Giovannetti ArchitecteDans cet appartement sous les toits de Paris abandonné depuis les années 1900, la transformation est totale. Une page blanche pour écrire une histoire contemporaine pleine de charme. En premier lieu, le volume de l’appartement et des combles ont été réunis en supprimant le plancher. Un parquet en point de Hongrie redonne noblesse et chaleur au lieu. Une cuisine, un dressing, une bibliothèque aux façades épurées épousant la forme du toit offrent de grands rangements. Du mobilier chinés et une décoration colorés sublime l'ensemble. Le cocon d’une parisienne est né.
