Large scale project began with the natural stone English style garden on the island with a water fountain as a central feature. The backyard was terraced to provide a more even surface for weekend sports with the children. The terracing was framed near the house with a 3 foot deep channel that will hold koi. On one side is a fire pit with amphitheater style seating and the other side opens up for the koi. There is an edible garden and butterfly garden as well. The entrance is punctuated with a large 10 foot diameter fountain. The entire landscape is on automated lighting with underwater lighting as well.

Highland Landscaping LLCThis project was born out of a drainage prob-lem. The property has significant run-off that occurs horizontally, across the property during periods of rain and storms. A solution was needed to capture and channel the water. The project owner was also looking to update the landscaping on the property. From there, the project evolved into a recirculating creek water feature that runs the length of the property. The water feature also contains four ponds, several bridges, waterfalls, and abundant vistas to enjoy throughout the prop-erty. Texas native and adapted plant species were used throughout the landscape. The project also includes a secluded prayer garden with a meditation area, surrounded by plants from the Bible.

Erik Jones LandscapingThis Project Includes a large Waterfall, 100' of Stream, 3 Bridges, over 1000' of stone walls, a 500,000 gallon pond, an amphitheater, a peninsula, a beach, a boat launch ramp, boulders throughout the entire pond, large trees, a boat dock, stone stairs, multiple terraces out of decomposed granite, and a large parking area.
The Waterfall, which is the start of this large waterfeature, acts as the Cornerstone for this Project. A number of the boulders are up to 8 feet across! About 1200 gallons a minute (72,000gph) flows over this waterfall. The waterfeature moves 2000 gallons a minute (120,000gph) when everything is flowing!
The waterfall drops about 17' in total and the stream drops about 3' for a total of 20' of elevation change. There are koi, goldfish, and shubunkins in the pond!
The pond is used for vineyard irrigation as well as aesthetics.
