Stylish Kitchen & Living in Harpenden

This Harpenden kitchen and living renovation is a modern and super stylish space in which industrial elements co-exist with colourful finishes. Our client wanted their home to reflect their contemporary, unique taste in a warm and welcoming manner. The house was designed with this in mind and in collaboration with Helen Howe of HH Instyle Interiors. We were able to create a bright and airy space while still ensuring that there are specific zones for all the different activities that take place in the home. For the kitchen and dining, we used a muted green palette paired with other earthy colours and textures to create a relaxed and comfortable space. The kitchen has been designed to be both functional and beautiful, with plenty of storage and seating options for our client and their guests. We used Mineral Green and Sierra Oak handleless cabinets from Nobilia for a contemporary look and feel. They house Siemens appliances that are perfectly suited to our client's lifestyle. For the worktops and backsplash, we chose Algarve Granite's AG Quartz Pearl Concrete. This creates an industrial edge while still being sophisticated and elegant. We also used the same material for the island, which is designed to have a waterfall edge to it, so it flows seamlessly into the rest of the kitchen. For the dining area, we used a wood finish table paired with caramel leather seats to create a warm, inviting space for our clients to enjoy with their family and friends. We also added a window bench, allowing for more seating and providing a beautiful backyard view. The rest of the kitchen is finished with vibrant and energetic finishing touches in the form of pendant lights, pillows, a chandelier, and a painting. To separate the living area while keeping the home's open feel, we used glass dividers that provide a nice balance between privacy and openness. We used a similar concrete-wood design for the media area by pairing oak shelves and panelling with dark concrete-effect cabinets.
