“Jim Roberts was our contact with Black Diamond for our project which consisted of (1)replacing a poured concrete front walkway that had two steps with pavers on an incline with no steps (this avoids people tripping on the steps at night) ; (2) creating a parking space next to the driveway with pavers; and (3) creating extra patio space using pavers around the back yard pool out of a grass area. Jim provided a nice presentation and competitive estimate and provided valuable creative input that steered us towards good choices of pavers and a great outcome. I was very nervous about the second part of the project (see above) because virtually all of our house utilities (gas, electric, telephone, cable, water line and drain line) all were directly through the area to be paved. Also, two massive tree root systems running through the area had to be hand removed due to being directly over the utilities. Jim and Black Diamond served up a truly outstanding crew that pulled it off without cutting any of the utility lines. Jim had good follow through and represented his company professionally and he would be our first call should we need paver services again. In summary, this was one of our best ever contracting outcomes and give due credit to Jim for that result. Chuck Clark”

The crew was top notch and completed our front yard in only one day. We had an underground leak in one of our sprinkler pipes in our flower bed and they fixed it without charge. The turf itself is beautiful and we feel it looks better than any of the turf installations that we have seen. “Ted Van Midde installed a new driveway and long pathway with a step up. He was so easy to work with, advised on the design and recommended concrete finishes that we were unfamiliar with. The crew was respectful of our property and very skilled. We had complex grades in the driveway and pathway and now it's much easier to drive and walk on. The project was finished on time and at the original quote. The details in the finishing is exceptional and since completion, we've had other contractors admiring the work and asking who did it. We get compliments from the neighbors every week. I wouldn't consider going with anyone else and will be using them when we remodel the backyard.”
